    Abstract: Height-adjusting wheelchairs allow an occupant of the wheelchair to adjust the height of the wheelchair seat above the ground. A height-adjusting manually propelled wheelchair may include a base frame supported by two rear wheels, and a vertically movable seat assembly is positioned above the base frame. A height adjustment system adjusts the height of the seat assembly relative to the base frame.
