  • Publication number: 20220129530
Abstract: A method for controlling an access device and an access system. The method includes a verification step for verifying a user. The verification step includes receiving, in the access device, a biometric input of the user, detecting, by the access device, the mobile user device in proximity of the access device and receiving, in the mobile user device, the biometric input from the access device when the mobile user device is detected by the access device. The method further includes maintaining, in the mobile user device, one or more digital biometric templates, and determining, by the mobile user device, verification of the user based on the biometric input received in the mobile user device and the one or more digital biometric templates.

  • Publication number: 20160119165
Abstract: Methods and systems to efficiently aggregate two or more access networks to form a virtual access network are disclosed. The resulting virtual access network is more resource-efficient, faster, more reliable, more secure, and provides more functionality than each individual access network. The virtual access network can be created by a client device that includes a client asset management module. The client asset management module can cooperate with a gateway access manager module of a gateway for creating and for operating the virtual access network.

  • Publication number: 20150265878
Abstract: A balancing board comprises a first surface for receiving one or more feet of a user when the balancing board is in operation. The balancing board includes a second surface of one or more outwardly curved forms for engaging with a floor surface, wherein the second surface enables variations in an orientation and movement of the balancing board relative to the floor surface. The balancing board further includes a signal receiving arrangement for receiving sensor signals indicative of one or more user reactions when operating the balancing board in reaction to the variations in the orientation and movement of the balancing board. The user is supported upon the first surface of the balancing board; and a processor operable to receive signals from the first set of sensors. The processor is operable to activate one or more modes of operation of the balancing board based on the received signals.

  • Publication number: 20060059265
Abstract: The present invention provides a Server (1) for allowing a user to connect to services using a remote terminal (“Host A”,3. “Host B”). The Server is coupled to the remote terminal via one of a number of communications links (4,5,2), as well as being coupled to the one or more services in use (4A). The Server generally includes a store for storing device data including an identifier for each of a number of terminals authorised to access the remote services. This is used by an authentication system which obtains an identifier from the terminal, compares this with the device data and establishes a connection in response to the successful comparison. The Server also includes a cache store for storing data transmitted to and received from the terminal.

  • Publication number: 20030003909
Abstract: A method and system for providing location-specific service provider information to a mobile station. The location of a base station as well as the identities of service providers located within the base station operating region is provided to a mobile station in contact with the base station via the base station broadcast channel. A service provider is selected from the mobile station and a request is transmitted seeking information concerning the selected service provider. The request may contain the base station location so that location-specific service provider information will be provided to the mobile station in response to request.
