  • Patent number: 10761004
Abstract: An example forward scatter sensor comprises: a transmitter to emit a light sheet; a receiver to observe light scattered from particles that fall through a measurement volume; and a control entity comprising an analyzer to record a measurement signal descriptive of intensity of light captured by the receiver as a function of time and to: carry out a precipitation analysis on basis of a time segment of the measurement signal; carry out a verification of analysis performance based on magnitudes of first peaks of at least one identified double peak and on respective residence times for said at least one identified double peak; and invoke a predefined maintenance action responsive to said verification indicating a threshold-exceeding difference between respective size estimates derived based on magnitudes of the first peak of said at least one identified double peak and based on residence times of said at least one identified double peak.

  • Patent number: 6823052
Abstract: Method for registering an overload situation in a telephone exchange system comprising a local exchange, an access node, a concentrating interface connecting the access node to the local exchange, a resource manager, which is part of the local exchange and a statistical unit, which is part of the local exchange. The method comprises the steps of scanning the concentrating interface to find a free time slot and detecting by means of the resource manager that the concentrating interface is overloaded. The method further comprises the steps of sending to the statistical unit a message reporting congestion, based on information existing in the resource manager, and recording the congestion situation into a traffic measurement report by means of the statistical unit.

  • Publication number: 20020126808
Abstract: Method for registering an overload situation in a telephone exchange system comprising a local exchange (LE), an access node (AN), a concentrating interface (V5) connecting the access node (AN) to the local exchange (LE), a resource manager (RMA), which is part of the local exchange (LE) and a statistical unit (STU), which is part of the local exchange (LE). The method comprises the steps of scanning the concentrating interface (V5) to find a free time slot and detecting by means of the resource manager (RMA) that the concentrating interface (V5) is overloaded. The method further comprises the steps of sending to the statistical unit (STU) a message reporting congestion, based on information existing in the resource manager (RMA), and recording the congestion situation into a traffic measurement report by means of the statistical unit (STU).

  • Patent number: 4532772
Abstract: An improved method for producing an ice layer suitable for ship model ice tests on a water surface by means of a spraying process is presented. Said improvement comprises the steps of creating a low-temperature atmosphere above said water surface, forming said ice layer by spraying water freezing in said atmosphere, leading said freezing spray onto said water surface, and continuing said spraying process to form thereby the entire or at least substantially the entire ice layer on said water surface.
