  • Publication number: 20230218843
Abstract: A ventilator including a housing; a gas inlet port disposed in the housing and adapted to be coupled to a gas source to receive a flow of gas; a valve assembly coupled with the gas inlet port for controlling flow of gas from the gas inlet port to a gas outlet port disposed in the housing and adapted for being coupled to a patient interface to fluidly couple the gas outlet port to the airway of a patient; a controller module disposed in the housing, the controller module comprising a controller operatively coupled with the valve assembly to control operation of the valve assembly; an airway pressure sensor positioned between the valve assembly and the patient interface to measure air flow output into flowing into the airway of the patient; wherein the pressure sensor is operatively connected to the controller module to control the operation of the valve assembly in response to changes in air flow output measured by the airway pressure sensor during use.

  • Publication number: 20190057594
Abstract: An occupancy or vacancy indicating system comprising: one or more indicating modules for indicating occupancy or vacancy of one or more areas of a space; and a setting means for setting a status of the indication modules, the status being indicative of the occupancy or vacancy of said one or more areas, wherein the setting means is operable for setting the status of indicating modules from a remote location relative to the one or more areas by transmitting one or more signals to the indicating module sensing means for sensing an indication of occupancy or vacancy, as indicated by a user during use in the one or more areas.

  • Patent number: 7746067
Abstract: A machine includes a component. The machine may also include a position-sensing system with a plurality of sensor elements that each generate a signal related to proximity of the sensor element to the component by generating the signal based at least in part on the magnetic permeability of the space adjacent the sensor element and a time-varying magnetic field generated by an electric circuit of the position-sensing system. The machine may also include one or more information-processing devices that determine a positional relationship between the component and the plurality of sensor elements based on a plurality of the signals generated by the sensor elements.

  • Publication number: 20090109104
Abstract: There is disclosed an antenna device comprising a pair of physically and electrically symmetrical radiating elements configured for cooperative operation as a balanced antenna, and a third radiating element configured for operation as an unbalanced antenna The balanced antenna may be configured for operation in a first frequency band, and the unbalanced antenna may be configured for operation in a second frequency band Embodiments of the disclosed antenna device provide multiband operation close to a conductive groundplane and are strongly resistant to detuning.

  • Publication number: 20080307900
Abstract: A speed sensing device for use with a traction device is disclosed. The speed sensing device has a rotor having a first rotational, wherein the rotor has magnets affixed thereon to generate a magnetic field. The speed sensing device also has a power-harvesting circuit coupled with the rotor to convert fluctuations in the magnetic field into electrical energy. The speed sensing device further has a sensor having a second rotational speed different from the first rotational speed, wherein the sensor is powered by the power-harvesting circuit to generate a signal indicative of a speed of the traction device. The speed sensing device still further has a transmitting circuit connected with the speed sensor and powered by the power-harvesting circuit to wirelessly transmit the generated signal.
