    Abstract: A receptacle connector includes a receptacle housing and a plurality of receptacle terminals. The receptacle housing has a bottom surface, a top surface and a plurality of terminal grooves that each includes a first side wall portion, a second side wall portion and a top wall portion, and the top wall portion and the second side wall portion help define an insertion opening portion. Each receptacle terminal has a fixed segment which is fixed to the receptacle housing, an elastic segment which extends obliquely and upwardly from a top end of the fixed segment, then is folded back and extends obliquely and upwardly toward the top wall portion and a tail segment which extends toward the second side wall portion. The elastic segment has a contact portion which is positioned below the insertion opening portion and a guiding surface which is positioned below the insertion opening portion.

Each ground terminal has a body portion and three elastic contact portions. Each signal terminal of each differential signal terminal pair has a body portion and an elastic contact portion. In two adjacent terminal columns, orthographic projections of the two elastic contact portions of each differential signal terminal pair are positioned within a range defined by a width of the elastic contact portions of the corresponding ground terminal, and an orthographic projection of the elastic contact portion positioned in a middle of each around terminal in the second direction is positioned within a range defined by a width of the two elastic contact portions of the corresponding differential signal terminal pair.

A possible benefit from a match between a limiting block of the first wafer and a limiting groove of the housing and a match between the limiting block of the first wafer and a limiting opening of the housing is that the first wafer is less easy to move between the top wall and the bottom wall of the housing along the mounting direction and can be more firmly supported by the housing.
