  • Publication number: 20190201614
Abstract: An improved device delivers a fluid medicament to the subcutaneous tissue of a user. The device is better suited for patients with Parkinson's Disease and other central nervous system disorders, than conventional infusion devices. The device can include a reusable part including a drive component (e.g., motor) and control electronics and a disposable part including a medicament reservoir. Medicament can be evacuated from the medicament reservoir by a plunger assembly that includes a plunger attached to a lead screw that is rotated by a nut, all within the disposable part. The device can be fluidically coupled with the tissue via a flexible cannula. Various embodiments relate to an improved cannula insertion mechanism that delivers the cannula under a force applied by a spring. Various embodiments relate to improved filling of the device, for example, using a vial adapter and an automated filling station.

  • Patent number: 10307303
Abstract: A wearable absorbent article includes a conductor arrangement. Including a plurality of elongate conductors, each conductor extending along an extension direction. At least some of the conductors have different lengths from each other in the respective extension directions. Those of the at least some of the conductors which have larger lengths in the respective extension directions have lower electrical resistances per unit length than those of the at least some of the conductors which have smaller lengths in the respective extension directions.

  • Publication number: 20180369031
Abstract: A wearable absorbent hygiene article includes an electronics unit, a power source and a magnetic switch. The magnetic switch operably couples the electronics unit to the power source. The magnetic switch is configured such that the power source supplies power to the electronics unit when the magnetic switch is in an ON state and such that the power source does not supply power to the electronics unit when the magnetic switch is in an OFF state. The magnetic switch is further configured such that a movement of a magnet relative to the magnetic switch switches the magnetic switch from the OFF state to the ON state.

  • Publication number: 20180353355
Abstract: A wearable absorbent hygiene article includes a liquid permeable top layer, a back layer, an absorbent member, an electronics unit, a power source and a switch. The liquid permeable top layer is adapted to face the wearer during use. The back layer is opposite to the top layer. The absorbent member is located between the top layer and the back layer. The switch operably couples the electronics unit to the power source. The switch is configured such that the power source supplies power to the electronics unit when the switch is in an ON state and such that the power source does not supply power to the electronics unit when the switch is in an OFF state. The power source, the switch and at least a portion of the electronics unit are disposed between the top layer and the back layer.

  • Patent number: 9844699
Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for accepting inputs into a treadmill or other exercise equipment to control functions of the treadmill or exercise equipment. An exercise control system can receive gestures and other inputs. The exercise control system can also obtain information about the user of the exercise control system and information about the environment in which the exercise equipment is operating. Based on the input and the other information, the exercise control system can modify or improve the performance or execution of user interface and functions of the exercise equipment. The changes make the user interfaces and/or functions user-friendly and intuitive.
