  • Patent number: 4982981
Abstract: The mechanism, which is intended to be associated with a solid structure (10), comprises, among others, a body (30) pierced with a slot (31) one of the sides (312) of which is provided with indents (32) in the shape of a curvilinear triangle (320), a stud (40) which is made of a head (41), of a shank (42) with two successive cylindrical bosses (421, 422) of different diameters of which the largest has a flat (423) and of an end-piece (43) to receive the means of retention (50) and which is intended to be engaged in the slot (31) and to receive a strap support (20), an elastic biasing element (60) exercising a torque on the stud (40), a support (33) close to the slot (31) and a manoeuvring lever (70) fitted with a stop (73) and a bearing (74).

  • Patent number: 4973032
Abstract: The member is intended to connect the zigzag tensioning wires mounted parallel to each other in a frame reinforcing a seat cushion. It comprises a flat bar (12) provided at regular intervals with gripping lugs (14) pressing against the bar a straight portion of the wire which is parallel to this bar. Side walls (16, 17) of the bar comprise spaced notches for receiving and fixing portions (4b) of the wire substantially perpendicular to the bar. Since the bar has a lug gripping each wire, the latter are kept at a precise distance from each other and the cushion is locally tensioned.

  • Patent number: 4930736
Abstract: A locking bolt (14) is slidably mounted in the external element (1) of the slide. It has side teeth (16) cooperating with holes in this external element and, at its end removed from these teeth, a hole (28) for receiving an actuating pin (32) which also passes through the internal element (2) of the slide. The cross-section of the pin (32) complements the hole of the bolt such that rotation of the pin about itself causes locking. The pin is movable axially and may be disengaged from the bolt so as to allow momentary relative axial displacement of the internal element and return into the previous position indicated by the bolt.

  • Patent number: 4895412
Abstract: Motor-vehicle seat having lateral wings which each comprise a wing wire (7) fastened directly to the frame (3) of the seat. The angular position of each wing is adjusted by means of a control screw (17) and an adjusting member, of which a part forming a nut (26) moves along on the control screw and of which a part forming a hook (24, 25) is fastened directly to the wing wire.

  • Patent number: 4872724
Abstract: Fixing device for a covering (9), especially a covering of a seat, comprising on the one hand a profiled section (1) having longitudinal slots (15), and on the other hand an edging wire (17, 17a) bent at at least two places to form fasteners (19, 19a) intended to cooperate with the slots, the fasteners (19, 19a) lying generally in a plane inclined to the axis of the edging wire (17, 17a) and being capable of deforming by twisting during their entry into a slot (15) in the profiled section, but resiliently recovering their initial shape and their inclined position after this insertion.

  • Patent number: 4804225
Abstract: The structure comprises a tubular substantially helical element (16) which forms in succession a base contour (22) and then a member (24, 26) for connection to the floor on which the seat is placed. The upper end portion (18) of the element has extending therethrough a pivot pin (20) for connection to one of the sides of a backrest (1) and is connected by gussets (38, 40) to the connection member The opposite end portion (52) of the tube is connected to the base contour frame by gussets (30, 32). Any force exerted by the backrest on the upper end portion (18) of the tube tends to unwind the substantially helical element and is thus absorbed by the latter.

  • Patent number: 4760988
Abstract: The movable element of the slide structure is formed at the lower end of a side wall (30) and is bent into an S shape so as to define inside the fixed element two parallel box units (38, 40) in which two sets of rollers are movable, these rollers rolling in their upper part on one element and in their lower part on the other element, the elements being inverted for the two sets. Each roller is moreover carried by a ball (46, 52) which projects laterally and slides on the walls of the box unit, i.e. equally on one side of the fixer element and on the other side of the movable element. A slidable bolt locks the slide structure in the desired position.

  • Patent number: 4736985
Abstract: This set includes a rear foot (4) which is an extension of the back-rest and which is connected by a rod (10) articulated to a front foot (14) articulated to the floor of the vehicle. Retractable locks (20, 32, 28) retain, on the one hand, the articulation (16) of the front foot with the rod under the seat-bottom (1), and, on the other hand, the rear foot against the seat-bottom and against the floor. When these two latter locks are opened, the seat can pivot on the articulation placed under the seat-bottom and can be folded behind the front seat. When the lock (28) of the rear foot and that (20) of the seat are disengaged, the seat-back pivots about its articulation with the seat-bottom and the latter rises so as to form a couchette.

  • Patent number: 4685737
Abstract: The headrest comprises on one side a sector (24) fixed to the support for mounting the headrest on the seat, and a movable sector (30) connected to the framework (12) carrying a cushion. A link (10) is pivotally mounted at its ends on pivot pins (22, 28) extending through these sectors, and a spring wire fixed to the pivot pin (22) of the fixed sector and connected to a control knob which is axially movable, slides in the slot of the pivot pin (28) of the movable sector between a position in which it is engaged in the facing notches of the two sectors for locking the headrest and a position in which it is disengaged from these notches for releasing the headrest.
