Also, a mount attachable to a firearm and having a dampener system connected to base and body portions thereof, the dampener system acting to dampen a recoil force produced by the firearm. Further, a mount attachable to a firearm and allowing a first rotation varying an azimuth of an accessory and a second rotation varying an angle of elevation of the accessory, and control means adjusting the second rotation to obtain a desired value and automatically producing the first rotation to correct a lateral drift of the firearm.

Abstract: A modular firearm is disclosed. The firearm that can be configured to operate using ammunition of different calibers via interchangeability of only a few parts. The firearm includes a foldable butt stock assembly for quickly and easily converting the firearm from an extended operating configuration to a compact transport configuration, and vice-versa. Additionally, the firearm includes a modular hand guard assembly having multiple mounting platforms for accommodating a variety of different accessories.

Abstract: A detachable chassis base for a tactical rifle is presented. The lower chassis receiver assembly can have a detachable chassis base that substantially selectively attaches to the chassis receiver interface. The detachable chassis base can be completely removable, or it can be hingedly attached to provide access without completely removing the chassis base, or a combination thereof. Multiple combinations of parts included in the detachable chassis base are possible. Several variations and combinations are illustrated herein, although others are contemplated.

Abstract: A mount is provided for removably rigidly mounting accessories to a firearm, such as a C9 machine gun, without having to modify the basic components of the firearm. The mount comprises first and second complementary parts adapted to be drawn one towards the other against the opposite sides of the firearm. The first and second complementary parts are provided with localization aids adapted to engage corresponding reference points on the firearms, thereby ensuring proper positioning of the mount on the body of the firearm.
