Abstract: A vehicle has a frame, wheels, left and right seats each having a seat base, an internal combustion engine disposed rearward of the seat bases, an air induction system fluidly connected to the engine, at least one side body panel and an access panel. The air induction system has an air inlet, an air filter, and a throttle body. The at least one side body panel is connected to a side of the frame and defines an aperture. The access panel is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the access panel is connected to the at least one side body panel and covers the aperture. In the second position, the access panel exposes the aperture. The air filter is accessible through the aperture when the access panel is in the second position. A method for removing an air filter is also disclosed.

Abstract: A vehicle straddle seat has a base extending generally in a first direction from a first edge. A backrest, formed integrally with the base, is spaced from the first edge and extends away from the base in a second direction generally perpendicular to the first direction. The backrest includes a first surface facing generally towards the first edge and a second surface facing away therefrom. A plurality of ribs formed on at least one of the first and second surfaces extends at least in the second direction. The plurality of ribs is configured to allow flexing of at least a portion of the backrest with respect to the base towards the first edge and away therefrom. The first surface is rigidly connected to the second surface so that the first and second surfaces flex together with respect to the base. Latch mechanisms and vehicles having the seat are also disclosed.

Abstract: A patient lift including a lifting member and a hoist assembly connected to the lifting member. The hoist assembly has an enabled state to move the lifting member between a raised position and a lowered position, and a disabled state wherein the hoist assembly cannot move the lifting member between the raised and lowered positions. An elongated switch member descends from the hoist assembly such that the switch member is reachable by an operator. Urging the switch member in a first direction in an axial sense along the length of the elongated switch member or a rotational sense about the length of the elongated switch member, places the hoist assembly in the enabled state or the disabled state. Urging the switch member in a second direction different from the first direction places the assembly in the other of the enabled state and the disabled state.
