Abstract: The invention concerns an installation for active management of a sporting event running time between starting and finishing points. Said installation comprises clocking means (2) which are activated upon the athlete's passage, and which supply signals representing passage times, means for modulating/demodulating (3) the signals delivered, data acquisition and storage means (4) connected to the modulating/demodulating means through a network and comprising means for storing the sporting event running time, and terminal means (5) connected through Internet to the data acquisition, management and storage means, and which enable remote retrieval by the athlete of his/her running times and proposal of adapted training programmes.
