  • Publication number: 20090013516
Abstract: A method of repairing a damaged portion of an underground pipeline positioned within a subterranean formation below the surface of the earth and having a flowbore. In some embodiments, the method includes inserting one or more pipe sections into the flowbore, the one or more pipe sections coupled and forming a throughpassage, positioning the one or more pipe sections within a damaged portion of the pipeline, disposing an expansion device within the throughpassage, and displacing the expansion device along the throughpassage, wherein the one or more pipe sections are radially expanded into engagement with at least the damaged portion of the pipeline.

  • Publication number: 20060118337
Abstract: System for coupling two tubular ends for use in a well bore, the system comprising a first tubular end, a second tubular end for inserting into the first tubular end in axial alignment thereof, thereby forming an annular space between the first tubular end and the second tubular end, and a connecting assembly for axially coupling the first tubular end with the second tubular end whereby the connecting assembly at least partly reaches in the annular space.

  • Publication number: 20060110083
Abstract: A bore hole tool assembly utilizes a multi-stage bearing system deployed between an inner mandrel and an outer tool housing wherein each bearing stage includes bearing element deployed between two deformable elements. The deformable elements are selected, based on the design and material characteristics of the housing, mandrel and bearings, such that tension and compressive loads are distributed proportionally across each bearing stage. A method for calculating loading and the selection of the deformable elements is also disclosed.
