  • Patent number: 4366043
Abstract: Heat processing of pulverized brown coal is carried out in two stages. In a chamber for the first-stage heating, brown coal to be processed is heated to a temperature of thermal decomposition thereof with the formation of a solid matter and a vapor and gas mixture. The resultant vapor and gas mixture is removed for purification and condensed to obtain gaseous and liquid products. In a chamber for the second-stage heating, brown coal, in the form of solid matter, is heated to cause additional decomposition thereof, which results in the formation of a solid product and a vapor and gas mixture. The resultant vapor and gas mixture, together with a part of the resultant solid product, is fed through a return conduit into the chamber for the first-stage heating of the brown coal. To develop a draught which causes the solid product particles to move along the return conduit, the latter is provided with a means for feeding a gaseous heat carrier.

  • Patent number: 4309197
Abstract: There is provided a method for processing a pulverized solid fuel by heat, which comprises the steps of drying said fuel and subjecting the latter to two-stage pyrolysis with the resulting formation of vapor, gaseous products and small coke. According to the invention, at least a part of the small coke is additionally heated to a temperature of 800.degree. to 1500.degree. C. by combustion gas and/or by partial burning of the small coke, whereafter the heated small coke is separated from the combustion gas, fed to the first stage of pyrolysis and for drying the fuel. The heated small coke is gasified by steam. The resultant gasification products are separated from the small coke which is then fed as the heat carrier to the first stage of pyrolysis.

  • Patent number: 4244700
Abstract: According to the invention pulverized solid fuel is processed by heating the fuel to a temperature at which thermal decomposition of the fuel begins and subsequently heating the fuel to a temperature at which an intense thermal decomposition of the fuel takes place to form a vapor-and-gas suspension containing pulverized particles, gas, tar vapors and pyrogenic water vapors. The resultant vapor-and-gas suspension is cooled in a chamber by water and/or pyrogenic water to a temperature from 360.degree. to 140.degree. C. at which pulverized solid particles adsorb heavy tar. To obtain the resulting product in the form of a pulp, the vapor-and-gas suspension is cooled for a second time to a temperature from 80.degree. to 20.degree. C. at which the fractures of intermediate and light tars are condensed.Combustion heat of resulting solid matter is higher than that of the product obtained by a conventional method; in addition, it may be conveyed by a water channel.

  • Patent number: 4211632
Abstract: According to the invention pulverized brown coal is processed by heating brown coal in two stages. During the first stage brown coal being processed is heated by a gaseous heat carrier to a temperature at which thermal decomposition of the brown coal begins. During the second stage the brown coal being processed is heated by the gaseous heat carrier to a temperature at which an intensive thermal decomposition of the brown coal takes place. The stream of the gaseous heat carrier delivered at the second stage of heating is fed with air oxygen and with low-grade products, such as heavy tars and pyrogenic water which are sprayed into the gaseous heat carrier.

  • Patent number: 4165696
Abstract: An arrangement comprises a pipeline filled with liquid at atmospheric pressure. The pipeline serves for displacement of containers with cargo therein by means of driven conveyors arranged along the pipeline. Endless traction members of the conveyors comprise belts having at least one row of equally spaced elements. Each container has at least one longitudinal groove with stops for engagement with the belt elements during the displacement of the containers. The arrangement according to the invention enables transportation of cargoes with comparatively low power consumption.
