  • Patent number: 10574908
Abstract: A system for automatically displaying image data when a vehicle is located on an on-ramp to a roadway includes one or more processors, left and right vehicle side cameras, a display, and one or more memory modules. The one or more memory modules store logic that cause the system to: determine, based on the location signal output by the one or more vehicle location sensors, whether a vehicle is on the on-ramp to merge on to the roadway; determine a direction of merging, and display image data on the display. Image data from the left vehicle side camera is displayed when it is determined that the direction of merging is to a left side of the vehicle. Image data from the right vehicle side camera is displayed when it is determined that the direction of merging is to a right side of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10093253
Abstract: A system and method for notifying a user about a temperature condition of a passenger compartment of a vehicle after a lapse of a remote start of a drive system of the vehicle. The system and method include retrieving a weather forecast for an area in which the vehicle is located and estimating a future temperature of the passenger compartment in response to a remote start request. The future temperature of the passenger compartment is a temperature of the passenger compartment after a lapse of a predetermined runtime. In response to determining that the estimated future temperature is outside of the predetermined temperature range a notice is sent to a computing device.

  • Publication number: 20180144622
Abstract: A parking notification system for identifying a location of a vehicle includes a controller, a processor, a non-transitory computer readable memory, a camera, and a machine-readable instruction set. The controller includes the processor and the non-transitory computer readable memory. The camera is communicatively coupled to the controller, where the camera automatically captures image data and transmits the image data to the controller. The machine-readable instruction set is stored in the non-transitory computer readable memory and causes the processor to determine when the vehicle enters a parking area, activate the camera in response to determining that the vehicle has entered the parking area, receive the image data from the camera once activated, determine when the vehicle is parked, determine parking information from the image data, and transmit the parking information automatically to an output of the controller in response to determining that the vehicle is parked.
