  • Publication number: 20240081630
Abstract: A multi-organ imaging system including a camera lens, a stationary, multi-examination illumination unit (SMEIU), and an attachment holder is provided. An industrial camera unit (ICU) for imaging multiple organs, for example, ear, nose, throat, and skin, is housed in a camera body. The camera lens has a fixed focal length and an iris for optimizing examination and imaging of the organs. The SMEIU is integrated to the camera body and includes illuminators arranged in a geometrical configuration. The attachment holder accommodates an organ examination attachment selected for examining an organ. The illuminators, in optical communication with one or more reflective surfaces in the organ examination attachment, produce shadowless illumination during examination and imaging of each organ, without requiring replacement of the SMEIU for examining each organ. A display unit, accommodated in a display holder detachably attached to the camera body, assists in aiming the camera lens and visualizing each organ.

  • Publication number: 20220181019
Abstract: A medical diagnostic kit (MDK) includes a universal cable storage compartment (UCSC), a deck, and switchable multi-port hubs (SMPHs). Configurable cable compartments in the UCSC accommodate cables of clinical examination devices (CEDs) without mutual entanglement. The deck positioned on the UCSC supports the CEDs and includes cutouts into the UCSC for cable management. The SMPHs permanently connect CED cable connectors and selectively power and communicate data with the CED(s). An internal energy storage device (ESD) receives power from a multi-port charger (MPC) during charging, and delivers the power to the SMPHs for powering and communicating data with the CED(s) when the casing is opened. An activated, hubs disconnection switch interrupts power delivery from the ESD to the SMPHs when the casing is closed.

  • Patent number: 10399089
Abstract: A system to control in real time a charge volume of an autogenous mill or a semi-autogenous mill including at least one accelerometer connected to a rotatable mill shell producing acceleration over time signals. The system includes a wireless antenna, a signal receiver module, and a modular magnetic power generator unit communicating with a master control processor connected to a network and to a distributed control system of the mill. The system has computer instructions to receive the acceleration over time signals and compare the acceleration over time signals to preset charge limits and produce commands to the distributed control system to automatically alter at least one of: speed of the rotatable mill shell, a particulate feed rate, a water feed rate, and combinations thereof when compared acceleration over time signals exceed or fall below preset charge limits.

  • Patent number: 5914121
Abstract: An in vivo model for human bone metabolism. Human marrow stromal fibroblasts are isolated, expanded in culture, combined with ceramic powder (hydroxyapatite) delivery vehicles with or without fibrin glue and implanted into a mammal. This protocol results in the formation of self-maintained human bone which supports hematopoiesis. This model system can be used to screen compounds which inhibit or stimulate bone formation. The marrow stromal fibroblast delivery vehicles can be implanted into humans to augment bone implants or to repair bone defects.

  • Patent number: 4221762
Abstract: Apparatus for preparing carbides from a powdered charge of carbon and oxygen-containing compounds of elements that can form carbides comprises an inductor for the induction heating of the charge to the reaction temperature with continuous compacting thereof. The powdered charge is heated by inducing in it high-frequency currents uniformly throughout the entire induction volume to the depth of not less than the radius of the charge column. A tubular reactor is enclosed inside the inductor which is a high-frequency generator. The reactor is manufactured out of nonmagnetic material. The reactor has slots in its wall that are filled with a dielectric material. A loading device provided with a pusher is mounted at a top portion of the reactor, and an unloading device provided with a valve and a receptacle is located at the bottom portion of the reactor.
