  • Patent number: 4497309
Abstract: An internal combustion engine comprises a cylinder (1), a cylinder head (2) a piston (3) with a combustion chamber (4) having a conical side wall (6) tapered at an angle of 30.degree. to 60.degree. toward a throat (7), and injection nozzles (5) for delivering fuel to the side wall (6) of the combustion chamber (7) the injection nozzle (5) being disposed eccentrically with respect to the center of the throat (7). An angle .gamma. between projections onto the cross section of the combustion chamber of a pair of adjacently spaced outlets (10 and 11) for delivering fuel to the closest to the injection nozzle (5) portion of the side wall (6) of the combustion chamber (4) is 1.8-2.2 times as large as an angle .delta. between the projections onto the same plane of axes of any pair of adjacently spaced outlets for delivering fuel to the farthermost from the injection nozzle (5) portion of the side wall (6) of the combustion chamber (4).

  • Patent number: 4372121
Abstract: Disclosed is a power-plant comprising an internal-combustion engine, a turbo-charger providing the supercharging of said internal-combustion engine and having a turbine and a compressor whose outlet communicates with an inlet of the internal-combustion engine and, through a by-pass duct, with a turbine inlet communicating with an outlet of the internal-combustion engine. An air flow sensor is installed at an inlet of the compressor. Arranged in the by-pass duct are an auxiliary combustion chamber and an air flow rate adjusting device for the air by-passed from the compressor to the turbine. The air flow rate adjusting device incorporates a throttling member linked with a drive used to change the position thereof and is provided with a comparison unit having a first input, a second input, and an output.

  • Patent number: 4301402
Abstract: A multipoint measuring device is based on a measuring bridge network and uses transducers which convert the quantity under measurement into an electrical signal, the transducers being divided into two identical groups, and being connected via a selector switch and main and auxiliary compensators in one or two adjacent arms of the measuring bridge network. With the transducers connected in two adjacent arms of the measuring bridge network, each transducer group is connected only in a single arm via its respective main compensator and its respective auxiliary compensator and the connection point of two auxiliary compensators is used as a measurement point of a measuring diagonal of the measuring bridge network.

  • Patent number: 4190776
Abstract: A multipoint measuring device comprising a matrix of transducers of the measured quantity and switching elements, the columns of said matrix being formed by serially connected switching elements and each transducer having one of its terminals connected to a respective switching element of the column and the other terminal connected to a common bus of a respective row. At the beginning and at the end of each row there are provided switching elements. The matrix is connected to a measuring circuit via two compensators.

  • Patent number: 4136656
Abstract: The present invention relates to control devices and can most advantageously be used in load control devices for turbo-supercharged diesel engines operating over a wide range of operating conditions when frequent unsteady periods of operation caused by variations in the load take place. This control device comprises a crankshaft speed measuring mechanism, a pilot valve, a servomotor with a tailrod, a passage providing hydraulic connection of the pilot valve with the servomotor. A servomotor tailrod stroke limiter is mounted within said passage and comprises a stationary fixed casing, a sleeve and a plunger, both movable with respect to the stationary fixed casing and with respect to each other. The sleeve is connected to a pressure sensor, while the plunger, to the tail-rod of the servomotor. Such a constructional arrangement enables a separate control of the load as a function of air supply and fuel supply.
