  • Publication number: 20220301065
Abstract: A method comprises receiving, at a first entity, an insurance claim for a health care service provided to a person by a provider; providing the claim from the first entity to an editing service, wherein the editing service is configured to edit the claim in accordance with information associated with a second entity and generate an edited claim, wherein the second entity is different than the first entity; receiving, at the first entity, the edited claim from the editing service; and determining, at the first entity, a payment to be made to the provider based on the edited claim. This method may be performed during the claim's adjudication cycle in realtime, not retrospectively.

  • Publication number: 20220208390
Abstract: A vaccination record is provided. Initially, when a patient gets a vaccine, such as a COVID-19 vaccine, an indication of the vaccine is stored in an electronic file or data structure associated with the patient called a vaccination record. The record may include information such as the type of vaccine that was administered, the date that the vaccine was administered, and an indication of the entity (e.g., clinician or healthcare practitioner that performed the vaccine). The record of the vaccine may be created in response to a billing submission by the entity. Later, the patient may use the vaccination record to provide proof to third-party verifiers that the patient in fact received the vaccine.

  • Publication number: 20220198413
Abstract: A method includes receiving information associated with a health care service provided to a patient; distributing a plurality of rules for determining responsibility for payment for the health care service across a plurality of hierarchical auditing systems including a primary auditing system and a secondary auditing system; generating, using the primary auditing system, a first payment recommendation for the health care service based on a first subset of the plurality of rules and the information associated with the health care service; communicating the information associated with the health care service to the secondary auditing system; generating, using the secondary auditing system, a second payment recommendation for the health care service based on a second subset of the plurality of rules and the information associated with the health care service; and merging the first payment recommendation with the second payment recommendation to generate a final payment recommendation for the health care service.

  • Publication number: 20030037023
Abstract: The process of the present invention is an emulation process for automatically making changes and/or revisions to computer data files from a database of file records stored in a computer. The process includes the steps of identifying the events that occur while accomplishing a given task, recording in memory the operation of a human operator interacting with a graphical user interface of a computer to form one or more emulated responses to each event representing event handlers for performing the task, forming a collection of events for such task and a collection of the recorded emulated event handlers corresponding to each event for such task, selecting a batch of file records that require changes and/or revisions from the database of file records, loading a specified task and the recorded collection of events and emulated event handlers for such task into a computer; and executing the task on each selected file record by matching each emulated event handler in memory to a given event.

  • Patent number: 5283376
Abstract: The invention is related to petrochemistry and is useful in the process of combined production of phenol and acetone by the cumene method. The method is a two stage process which minimizes waste water volume, diminishes equipment corrosion and minimizes consumption of cumene. In the first stage, the phenol tar is treated with a 2-5% water solution of a water soluble amine at a ratio of 1:1.5-1:4.0 to produce two layers, water and organic. At the second stage the water layer from the first stage is thermotreated. As a result, water soluble amino phenate decomposes to amine and phenol. Gaseous amine is removed from the system and then recycled to the first stage. The phenol water solution obtained from the thermotreatment is extracted by standard extraction agents (e.g. diisopropylether, cumene). The water layer from the phenol extraction is about 50-95% of the original water solution employed in the first stage and is then saturated with the amine and recycled to the first stage.
