  • Publication number: 20240012838
Abstract: A method and a server for factually validating a content of a given snippet of a plurality of snippets are provided. The method comprises: identifying, within the plurality of snippets, at least one other snippet for the given snippet, the at least one other snippet providing context to the given snippet; generating, for the given snippet, a respective target vector; generating, for the at least one other snippet, a respective context vector; feeding both the respective target vector and the respective context vector to a Natural Language Processing (NLP) model to determine a probability value indicative of whether a content of the at least one other snippet confirms factual accuracy of that of the given snippet, in response to the probability value being equal to or greater than a threshold probability value, determining that the content of the given snippet is factually accurate.

  • Publication number: 20230287150
Abstract: The invention comprises a method of industrial extraction of alginates from brown seaweeds of the family Sargassaceae of the order Fucales, as well as the product resulting from the method. The method includes the following stages: preparation of raw materials, crushing of the algae, pressure boiling of the algae, mixing the boiled algae with water, purification of the diluted algal mass, extraction of alginic acid, washing of the alginic acid, dehydration of the alginic acid, treatment of the alginic acid with sodium hydrogen carbonate, clarification of resultant sodium alginate solution, precipitation of sodium alginate gel, and drying of the sodium alginate gel.

  • Patent number: 7809962
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for enabling a power up process of a non-volatile memory to occur efficiently are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, a method for utilizing a memory system that has a non-volatile memory with at least one reserved memory area includes providing power to the memory system, initializing the non-volatile memory, and writing a first signature into the reserved memory area. The first signature is arranged to indicate that the memory system was successfully initialized. In one embodiment, the method also includes executing a power down process on the memory system, and writing a second signature into the reserved memory area which indicates that the power down process has been executed.

  • Publication number: 20070174246
Abstract: A method includes receiving an event indicating an action associated with a first file has been performed by a user using a first client. The action is unrelated to transmitting the first file to another client. The method also includes automatically extracting content from the first file in response to the event using the first client and generating metadata to associate with the content, and transmitting, using the first client, the content and the metadata to a peer client if the peer client and the first client are currently operating and visible to each other on a network. The timing of the transmission is determined automatically after the event is received.

  • Patent number: 5852232
Abstract: An acoustic sensor used with a first sensor (such as a profilometer, scanning probe microscope or the like) allows for the positioning of the first sensor with respect to the sample. The acoustic sensor has a greater range than a profilometer or a scanning probe microscope, and a relatively quick response time, which allows it to be an effective proximity detector. Additionally, the acoustic sensor is not affected by the material of the sample's surface layer.
