  • Patent number: 10794501
Abstract: The mixing cartridge comprises: —a cartridge body (1); —an actuation lever (5) —a fixed plate (2) placed within the cartridge body (1) and comprising inflow input openings and an output opening for the outflow of mixed water; and —a movable element comprising a movable plate (4) provided within the cartridge body, coupled to the actuation lever to be moved on or with respect to the fixed plate and internally defining a mixing chamber (41) open towards the fixed plate and which selectively communicates or blocks the communication of said input openings with the output opening. The mixing cartridge comprises a flow rate limiting arrangement placed within the cartridge body in the path followed by the water flow between said inflows and said outflow, so that the flow rate of said water is limited.

  • Patent number: 7328730
Abstract: A food storage container includes a lid with a vent hole, and a removable cover removably secured to the lid to cover the vent hole. The cover has an evacuation hole. The food storage container further includes a one-way air valve disposed between the vent hole and evacuation hole. When the cover is secured to the lid, the one-way air valve inhibits air flow into the container through the vent hole, and when the cover is not secured to the lid, the one-way air valve allows air flow into the container.

  • Publication number: 20070133342
Abstract: A hand-held electric blender or mixer has an electric motor that is accommodated in a housing and that serves for selectively driving different attachments, such as a whisk or kneading hook or an immersion blender. The hand-held blender or mixer has an actuating element that opens and closes a switch for switching the electric motor on and off. The switch can be operated in a temporary mode or in a continuous mode, depending on the respective attachment coupled to the appliance. An interlocking means is provided for the actuating element and is either engaged with a counterpart to the interlocking means or not, depending on the type of attachment coupled to the appliance.

  • Patent number: 7131550
Abstract: A lid for a food storage container includes a lid body with a vacuum sense opening and a vent opening extending through the lid body, a releasable cover disposed over the vent opening, and a pressure-indicating protrusion. The cover impedes air flow into the container through the vent opening until the cover is released. The pressure-indicating protrusion, which has a cavity in it, is in hydraulic communication with the container through the vacuum sense opening. The pressure-indicating protrusion contracts toward the vacuum sense opening in response to negative container pressure.

  • Patent number: 6789933
Abstract: The invention is directed to a handheld or immersion blender including a coupling device (1) for separating the shank provided with a processing tool from the electrically powered drive part, with an upper coupling part (2) arranged on the drive part having locking elements and a lower coupling part (3) arranged on the tool shank having detent elements, which enable the coupling device (1) to be interlocked axially. In this arrangement the locking elements are formed by spring-loaded holding lugs (11) projecting radially outwardly, and the detent elements are formed by recesses (16) on the inner circumference of the lower coupling part (3), with the upper coupling part (2) being twistable relative to the lower coupling part (3), whereby a releasable coupling is obtained. An improved handheld or immersion blender is thereby made available.

  • Patent number: 6216369
Abstract: The invention is directed to a steam iron with a water reservoir for the supply of water to an evaporation chamber in which the fed water is convertible into steam and which is connectable to at least one first and one second steam discharge port (18, 15), with a heating element (14) for heating both the evaporation chamber and a soleplate (1-12, 46), said soleplate having an ironing surface (39) and a nose (20) at its forward end when viewed in the direction of movement, and said first steam discharge port (18) being arranged in such close proximity to the iron's nose (20) that the steam propagates in the area adjacent to the iron's nose (20). The first and the second steam discharge port (18, 15) are formed in the soleplate (1-12, 46) such as to be at a height of less than 10 mm relative to the ironing surface (39). Further, the first and the second steam discharge port (18, 15) are in balanced pressure communication with each other. Provision is made for distinct steaming and drying zones.

  • Patent number: 6000650
Abstract: The invention is directed to a lid (2) for closing a processing container (1). Provided in the processing container (1) is a spigot (4) for receiving a rotary processing tool (5) for comminuting food materials. The processing tool (5) has at its free end close to the lid (2) a first coupling member (18) adapted to be coupled to a second coupling member (17) of a driven shaft (10) when the lid (2) is placed on the processing container (1) for closing. The driven shaft (10) extends outwardly through a bore (9) in the lid (2) and has at its outer free end a third coupling member (27). The third coupling member (27) is adapted to be coupled to a fourth coupling member (33) of a drive shaft (31) of an electrically powered drive mechanism, in particular a hand-held mixer or immersion blender. An annular space (23) is formed between the outer diameter of the section (21) of the driven shaft (10) extending through the bore (9) and the bore (9).
