  • Publication number: 20260145740
Abstract: A motor-vehicle frame assembly for absorbing impact includes a cross member with a central portion and two end portions, a pair of longitudinal structural elements connected respectively to one end portion of the cross member, and a pair of longitudinal struts connected respectively and rearwardly to a longitudinal structural element. Each longitudinal strut is connected to the longitudinal structural element by a reinforcement and connection plate between the structural element and the longitudinal strut. An auxiliary structural unit is connected to the plate at an upper portion of the plate vertically projecting beyond the strut. The auxiliary structural units are extended above the struts and along a direction parallel to the longitudinal struts to absorb impact energy in case of impact involving the vehicle at a height higher than the struts, without directly involving the cross member and the struts.

  • Patent number: 9421865
Abstract: A motor vehicle has an engine compartment accommodating a powertrain and at least one strut, which is substantially parallel to an advancing longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle; the motor vehicle has a safety device configured so as to move the powertrain sideways during an impact, towards the side opposite to the one concerned by the impact; the safety device is provided with a beam having a first end, distanced from an end portion of the strut towards the outside of the engine compartment, and a second end fixed to the strut in a position which is horizontally beside the powertrain; the safety device is also provided with a restraining member fixed to the strut and having a protruding portion arranged behind a wall of the beam.

  • Patent number: 9150251
Abstract: A motor vehicle has two upper struts, which project forward from a passenger compartment and are arranged above two lower struts, which extend along respective substantially rectilinear axes inclined from the bottom upwards, going forward; the lower struts have respective intermediate portions with such a variation in cross section to define a preferential bending zone; the rear ends of the lower struts are fixed to a cross member connected to the upper struts by means of two connection members, which are substantially vertical and have respective breakable zones designed so as to break when a given load threshold is exceeded; the motor vehicle also has a powertrain connected to the cross member and to the upper struts by means of supports which are distinct from the connection members and are breakable in the event of a front crash.

  • Patent number: 6111393
Abstract: A phase-controlled voltage regulator of the series type, for supplying A.C. and D.C. electric loads in electronic ignition systems for internal-combustion engines. The A.C. and/or D.C. electric load is connectable in series with a single winding magneto generator via a respective electronic control switch; the voltage existing on the electric load is continuously detected and set to a supply voltage value required by the load by controlling the start time, and the time length of activation of the electronic control switch, during each half-wave of the generator voltage having a same polarity, in relation to the detected voltage on the electric load itself; no-load operating conditions for the magneto generator are maintained during the initial period of time for each half-wave, inhibiting the conduction of the electronic control switch.
