  • Patent number: 11684060
Abstract: The invention relates to a weed inactivation device, comprising at least one electrode, whereby at least one electrode is directed to the weed. The electrode is supplied with electrical energy by an electrical power supply, containing an h-bridge inverter for DC/AC conversion to create rectangular wave AC-current. The inversion takes place at frequencies above 1.0 kHz. The weed activation device enables weed control without utilization of poisonous herbicides.

  • Publication number: 20220369616
Abstract: A device for minimizing the risk of fire in weed control applications, provides that arcs are detected by analyzing characteristic partial discharge or current and voltage values, which are prevented by round, channel-less geometries, the use of a depth electrode or the use of high ground contact pressures, which are extinguished by extinguishing mats or liquid spraying on the treated and/or surrounding surface before, during or after the high voltage treatment.

  • Publication number: 20220132831
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for treating a soil, comprising the following elements: a carrier vehicle having a chassis, a housing with electrical components such as in particular a high-voltage device for generating a high voltage, and high-voltage electrodes for introducing the high voltage into a first soil region. In accordance with the invention, it comprises a measuring device with evaluation electronics for measuring a fault current or a fault voltage between individual elements of the device with respect to one another or between individual elements and an earthing which serves to divert a fault current in a second floor region.

  • Publication number: 20200383313
Abstract: In a method, during weed eradication on ground areas using high voltage and, if necessary, additional technology, data regarding the weed growth are repeatedly captured and, using a computer, a forecast concerning the weed growth is computed, and from this at least one parameter for a subsequent treatment is computed and used to optimize the treatment.

  • Publication number: 20190373816
Abstract: In a device and method for introducing high voltage into a substrate containing biological material, an applicator module having two or more applicators with simultaneously differently polarized applicators is used, through which the electrical high voltage is delivered in metered quantities to change the substrate. Different variants make it possible to introduce the high voltage into the substrate in controlled manner and selectively.

  • Publication number: 20190320641
Abstract: A weed inactivation device has at least two electrodes, whereby at least one electrode is directed to the weed. The weed activation device is used as a physical herbicide apparatus. A DC or AC power supply of any number of phases generates a voltage. This voltage is fed to an inverter that increases frequency. The current with increased frequency is fed to a harmonic filter. The harmonic filter may feed a high frequency transformer that further increases the voltage input for the voltage multiplier. The output of the previous components is fed to a voltage multiplier, such as a voltage multiplier of the Cockroft-Walton type or a full wave Cockroft-Walton type. The voltage multiplier provides different voltage levels depending on its load, so for a variable load it makes an auto-adjustable power control without any additional circuitry, processor or controller necessity.
