  • Publication number: 20090159168
Abstract: A slip-proof cover for a vehicle tire for use in adverse weather conditions, including snow or ice, with a configuration that allows a simple mounting. The cover is highly reliable and positionally stable, and has a good mechanical performance with respect to abrasion. The cover includes a band made of textile fabric including cords made of strands that may be of varying thicknesses and the textile ligament may be taffeta.

  • Patent number: 7420667
Abstract: Equipment for capturing the contour, markings, bores, millings and etchings of an ophthalmic lens or a template lens for glasses. Equipment for capturing the contour, markings, bores, millings and etchings of an ophthalmic lens or a template lens for glasses comprising lighting means (11) that produce a beam of parallel rays of light that can produce a projection, image capturing linear means (15), a translucent support (3) arranged between lighting means (11) and capturing means (15), and control means that digitalize and process the projection obtaining a flat representation of the contour, markings, bores, millings and etchings. The lens or template lens are placed on translucent support (3) and a high quality projection of the lens or template lens is formed on support (3) without having to prepare the lens or template lens beforehand by painting it or the like.

  • Patent number: 4714915
Abstract: A portable monitoring system for detecting a radiated electrostatic field and producing an audible warning when the detected field exceeds a selected value is characterized by a switching device which can be used to reset the threshold warning level and which is not affected by the hand proximity effect. An alarm is sounded when a signal corresponding to the detected field exceeds a value which is stored. The stored value can be reset by a manually operated switching circuit including a delay device operable to delay the storage of a reference level corresponding to the intensity of the field currently detected.

  • Patent number: 4520318
Abstract: An electric field strength indicator for use with high voltage conductors comprises a capacitive probe mounted within a tubular shield having an insulating spacer at one end for locating the unit with respect to a conductor under test. The probe is electrically coupled to a signalling circuit and is movable axially within the shield to a position at which a threshold response is obtained. Such position, which denotes the conductor voltage, is read on a scale provided. Because of the shield the device is directional, the probe being shielded from neighboring conductors.
