  • Publication number: 20170262828
Abstract: A payment processing method comprising receiving, through a payment application running on a mobile device of a customer, QR code data from an optical scanning device of the mobile device, receiving a client transaction settlement request comprising the QR code data and a customer ID, and receiving a processor transaction settlement request comprising the Merchant ID, the POS Terminal ID, and a transaction amount. The method further comprises verifying the Merchant ID and POS Terminal ID are identical between the client transaction settlement request and processor transaction settlement request, combining the client transaction settlement request and processor transaction settlement request into a combined transaction settlement request comprising the Merchant ID, the transaction amount, and customer financial instrument information, and transmitting the combined transaction settlement request to a processor payment gateway, receiving a transaction result, and transmitting the transaction result.

  • Publication number: 20150058216
Abstract: A user having a mobile device with optical recognition capabilities and a mobile payment software solution is able to scan a matrix QR code that, upon being scanned by the user's mobile device, links the user's mobile payment software to an ATM back-end administrative software allowing the user to complete banking transactions on the mobile device as if a traditional magnetic card has been swiped in the ATM. The user can also transfer funds to other mobile payment application users. The mobile software solution and ATM back-end generate unique identifiers and passwords that are compared by the software, confirming the identity of the user and providing a secure transaction environment.

  • Patent number: 6505114
Abstract: A method and system for traffic monitoring and prediction of traffic intensity. The method comprises the steps of determining at least twice, within a specified time interval, geographical positions of a plurality of mobile devices in a mobile telecommunications network. This is done by means of measuring at least one property of signals transmitted between the mobile devices and base stations in the mobile telecommunications network. At least a subset of the geographical positions are compared with a route of a road provided in a route database in order to identify mobile devices having routes corresponding to at least a part of the road route. A velocity for the identified mobile devices based on the at least two positions, and the calculated velocity of at least one identified mobile device is compared with a reference velocity of the road in order to predict traffic intensity on the road. A system for short range monitoring is also provided.
