Abstract: A vehicle control device, in particular a clutch mechanism for a tractor, includes a control lever and guide mechanism in which the lever is selectively movable from a first rest position to a second engaged position. The control lever is subjected to the action of an elastic apparatus operable to move the lever into the first rest position if the lever is released before reaching a given point along the guide mechanism. The elastic apparatus also being operable to move the control lever into the second engaged position if the control lever is released past the given point.

Abstract: A clamping device is disclosed for attachment to two elements in order to clamp the two elements in any desired relative position. The clamping device comprising a rod for attachment to one element and a collar for attachment to the other element and having an aperture through which the rod passes with clearance. A locking member mounted on the collar at a position spaced from the aperture along the axis of the rod is adjustable manually to apply a force between the collar and the rod in a direction to cause the collar to tilt relative to the rod, so as to jam the rod in the aperture.

Abstract: A single handle control mechanism has two shafts for connection to two independently operable mechanisms, such as hydraulic valves controlling the position of hydraulic actuators in an agricultural tractor. The shafts are operable to rotate selectively either individually or in combination about a common longitudinal axis of rotation through manipulation of a handle member which is rotatable about two orthogonal axes oriented perpendicularly to the axis of rotation of the shafts. The handle member has a first roller and slot coupling for effecting the rotation of the shafts and a second roller and slot coupling for effecting the rotation of the other coaxial shaft. The slots of the first and second couplings are orthogonal to one another to resolve the rotation of the handle member into a first component for rotating the first shaft and a second component for rotating the second shaft.
