  • Patent number: 8778862
Abstract: Concentrated liquid cleaning fluid compositions for hard surface cleaning which are particularly suited for storage and dispensing from water-dissolvable plastic pouches. In use the pouches are placed in water whereupon the plastic pouch dissolves allowing the concentrated composition to become diluted in the water to provide a cleaner. The concentrated cleaning composition has good stability and does not affect the plastic or rate of dissolution of the pouch, and allows use of a variety of colorants and fragrances with a base product formulation. The formulation includes a linear alkyl benzene sulfonic acid (LABSA), a nonionic ethoxylated alcohol surfactant, and an alkanol amine or alkyl amine capable of reacting with the LABSA so that the sulfonic group is added to the amine.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 22, 2012
Date of Patent: July 15, 2014
Assignee: S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc.
Inventors: Pablo M. Hernandez, Sergio Reyes Salgado, Rahul Saxena

  • Publication number: 20110247651
Abstract: The present invention is a device for use in cleaning a fabric surface of dust, dirt, pet hair and other debris present on the surface. The device includes a housing coupled to a base. The base is coupled to at least one movable cleaning member configured to engage a surface for picking up debris from the surface. The debris is deposited into a debris collection chamber by way of interaction with another portion of the device. The debris collection chamber is selectively emptiable by an operator thereof so that the device may be subsequently reused.
