The terminal includes a first touch-wheel and a second touch-wheel for recognizing a variety of user's touch actions, the first touch-wheel and the second touch-wheel being substantially configured concentrically and a controller for recognizing individual user's touch actions on the first and second touch-wheels as predetermined user commands. A plurality of concentric touch-wheels are mounted on the terminal such that the outer appearance of the mobile terminal is simplified and a user may enter desired commands in the mobile terminal according to a variety of touch-input methods. As a result, the user can enter a variety of commands for performing composite functions of the terminal using the first and second touch-wheels.

The method for selecting an item displayed on the screen includes simultaneously touching the screen at two or more locations to define a selection area and identifying the items within the selection area. The section area may be a rectangle, a horizontal or vertical band of the display, a circle, or sequentially arranged items of a list. Alternatively, a single touch may define a point in the display area and the bounds of the display area are defined by the time the touch is maintained. Recently, with the increasing development of multiple functions on a single terminal, the method can be conveniently applied to the latest terminal where associated items are simultaneously displayed on a single display screen of the terminal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to positively charged lipids prepared by linking salt forms of acidic amino acid with a variety of lengths of hydrocarbon chain, a process for preparing the lipids, and liposomes comprising the said positively charged lipids. Positively charged lipids of the invention can be practically applied for the preparation of liposomes for gene therapy, since they provide better characteristics than the conventional positively charged lipids in terms of gene delivery efficiency and biocompatibility.
