Abstract: A ring shaped article of jewelry comprises a body having an assembly of settings supporting stones set therein, the settings being arranged side-by-side and fixed to each other, and a stone-retainer comprising a generally omegoid loop having extremities secured in the juncture between contiguous settings and a loop portion projecting outwardly from the juncture, filiform claw elements having respective one end portions thereof secured to the settings and opposite end portions protectively engaged within said loop portion, and intermediate portions of said elements extending around adjacent parts of said loop portion and retainingly engaging the stones.
