The medical device ordering manager is to order a custom medical device from one or more of the plurality of device manufacturers based on medical device slot availability data. The distributed ledger module is to create a block in a blockchain associated with a blockchain network that includes one or more of an identifier of the heathcare provider that ordered the custom medical device, and a prescription number.
