  • Patent number: 11898019
Abstract: A method for processing polyolefins may include contacting solid polyolefins with a solid catalyst to form a reaction mixture. The solid catalyst may be chosen from a zeolite, a microporous aluminosilicate, an alumina, or combinations thereof. The solid polyolefins may be chosen from polyethylene, polypropylene, or combinations thereof. The method may include mechanically agitating the reaction mixture to produce olefin-containing hydrocarbon polymers and separating the olefin-containing hydrocarbon polymers from the solid catalyst. The olefin-containing hydrocarbon polymers include a carbon-carbon double bond in the backbone of the hydrocarbon polymers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 25, 2022
Date of Patent: February 13, 2024
    Assignee: Saudi Arabian Oil Company
    Inventors: Douglas Theberge, Seth Sharber
  • Publication number: 20230340348
Abstract: This disclosure relates to CO2-philic crosslinked polyethylene glycol membranes useful for natural gas purification processes. Also provided are methods of using the membranes to remove CO2 and H2S from natural gas.
    Type: Application
