  • Publication number: 20230024191
Abstract: Techniques related to promoting consistent cooking event outcomes are disclosed. Natural language processing (NLP) is used to promote the consistent cooking event outcomes. Data is acquired from a sensor that is monitoring a cooking preparation area. Based on the data, an event is identified. The event is modeled using NLP, which then predicts a subsequent event that will likely occur in the cooking preparation area. NLP is also used to select a recipe. A list of instructions included in the selected recipe are displayed in a user interface.

  • Publication number: 20210251263
Abstract: A computer system for providing interactive cooking experiences. The computer system includes a sensory array, and uses the sensory array to collect sensor data associated with a thermal property of a food preparation surface and/or an object on the food preparation surface as observed by a thermal sensor, and/or a visual property of the food preparation surface and/or the object as observed by a visible light sensor. Based on the collected sensor data, the computer system determines a temperature, an identity and/or a physical property of the food preparation surface and/or the object. The computer system determines a time attribute associated with the food preparation surface and/or the object. Based on the determining, the computer system initiates at least one of (i) progressing to a presentation of an existing instructional recipe step at a user output device; or (ii) generating a new instructional recipe step.

  • Patent number: 9571638
Abstract: A method includes receiving an audio signal. The method further includes determining segments of audio from the audio signal. The method further includes sending a first segment of the audio signal to a first communication assistant (CA) device. The method further includes sending a second segment of the audio signal to a second CA device. The method further includes receiving a first text string associated with the first segment from the first CA device. The method further includes sending the first text string to a text display device. The method further includes receiving a second text string associated with the second segment from the second CA device. The method further includes sending the second text string to the text display device.
