Publication number: 20170192131Abstract: A stack of laminated transparent lenses consists of two alternating optically clear materials in intimate contact. The materials are a plastic lens and clear adhesive. The adhesive is uninterrupted. The lens and the adhesive have refraction mismatch of less than 0.2. A tab portion is part of each lens acts as an aid in peeling away the outermost lens after contamination of the lens layer during racing conditions. The lens stack can be mounted to the posts on the face shield or laminated directly to a windshield.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2017Publication date: July 6, 2017Inventors: Bart Wilson, Seth Wilson, Stephen S. Wilson

Publication number: 20170147100Abstract: A shield that is attachable to a touch sensitive screen is disclosed. The shield may be attached to the touch sensitive screen only at its outer peripheral portion. An air gap is enclosed between the shield and the touch sensitive screen to form a planar air bearing. The shield preferably does not touch the active area of the touch sensitive screen when the user is not touching the shield but only viewing the touch sensitive screen through the shield. This mitigates unwanted optical artifacts such as trapped air bubbles, Newton rings and chromatic interference while maintaining the sensitivity of the touch sensitive screen.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 3, 2017Publication date: May 25, 2017Inventors: Stephen S. Wilson, Bart Wilson, Seth Wilson

Patent number: 8598156Abstract: The invention is directed to substituted indoline derivatives. Specifically, the invention is directed to compounds according to Formula I: wherein R1, R2, and R3 are defined herein. The compounds of the invention are inhibitors of PERK and can be useful in the treatment of cancer, ocular diseases, and diseases associated with activated unfolded protein response pathways, such as Alzheimer's disease, stroke, Type 1 diabetes Parkinson disease, Huntington's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, myocardial infarction, cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, and arrhythmias, and more specifically cancers of the breast, colon, pancreatic, and lung. Accordingly, the invention is further directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound of the invention. The invention is still further directed to methods of inhibiting PERK activity and treatment of disorders associated therewith using a compound of the invention or a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of the invention.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2011Date of Patent: December 3, 2013Assignee: GlaxoSmithKline LLCInventors: Jeffrey Michael Axten, Seth Wilson Grant, Dirk A. Patent number: 8361260Abstract: An automobile or vehicle having a high efficiency solar control system is provided. The automobile may have a painted surface and a film mounted to its exterior side. The film may reflect solar radiation in the near and mid infrared ranges yet allow high transmission of light in the visible range such that the painted panel may be seen. The film may have a layer of silver which reflects the solar radiation in the near and mid infrared ranges. Since the silver is susceptible to oxidation and turns the silver into a black body which absorbs the near and mid infrared radiation, the film may be designed to slow the rate of oxidation of the silver layer to an acceptable level. The silver layer may be sandwiched between the glass which does not allow oxygen to diffuse there through and reach the layer of silver and a stack of sacrificial layers having a certain thickness which slows down the rate of oxygen diffusion to an acceptable level.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2009Date of Patent: January 29, 2013Inventors: Stephen S. Wilson, Bart Wilson, Seth Wilson
