  • Patent number: 5662764
Abstract: An apparatus for producing a corrugated tube contains a roller assembly composed of plural rollers having plural convexed rings, respective convexed rings forming a helix as a whole so as to substantially form a single rotating shaft body, and a synthetic resin supplier for supplying a strip of synthetic resin onto the roller assembly. The pitches between the convexed rings, and the diameters and the widths of the convexed rings are so constructed as to be gradually decreased in accordance with the contraction percentage of the synthetic resin. The apparatus is provided with a follower ring on a roller valley portion between the convexed rings, the follower ring being rotatable in response to circumferential speed of the apex of the convexed ring.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 27, 1995
Date of Patent: September 2, 1997
    Assignee: Toyo Chemical Co., Ltd.
Inventors: Noboru Hasegawa, Mitsuo Kagabu, deceased, Setsu Kagabu, heir
