    Abstract: A connecting construction for a sidestay of a heald frame and a transverse beam having a sidestay of a heald frame, a transverse beam to be connected via an end face thereof with the sidestay, a concave engagement space defined in the end face of the transverse beam, a projecting portion formed integrally with the sidestay to be inserted into the concave engagement space and a securing device for pressingly securing a peripheral wall of the concave engagement space to the projecting portion in a longitudinal direction of the sidestay.
