  • Patent number: 7710041
Abstract: An output power adjusting mechanisms for adjusting output power is provided on a wave guide of a high frequency output section coupled to an output cavity. The output power adjusting mechanisms is located at a position apart away from the output cavity by a distance of ? wavelength or [(? wavelength)×odd number]. The output power adjusting mechanism includes a reflection adjusting part which is provided in the tube wall of the wave guide so as to be displaceable in the inward and outward directions of the output tube. The output power is adjusted by displacing the reflection adjusting part.

  • Patent number: 7471053
Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-beam klystron apparatus. In the above-described multi-beam klystron apparatus, the magnetic field generating element of the electron-gun-unit-side magnetic field generating unit is disposed around the electron gun unit, and a plurality of magnetic gaps are provided in the inner peripheral surface of the magnetic pole, which covers the magnetic field generating element, in the direction of travel of the electron beams. Therefore, lines of magnetic force, which are parallel to the center axis of the radio-frequency interaction unit, can be generated. Thus, even the electron beam, which is generated from the location apart from the center axis of the electron gun unit, can be guided to the radio-frequency interaction unit in the same manner as in the location at the canter axis of the electron gun unit.

  • Patent number: 7385354
Abstract: A multi-beam klystron apparatus is disclosed. A radio-frequency interaction unit pole piece is arranged between a main magnetic field generator and an output-side magnetic field generator. The magnetic circuit formed in the neighborhood of an output cavity of a radio-frequency interaction unit is separated from the magnetic circuit of the main magnetic field generator by the radio-frequency interaction unit pole piece. The output-side magnetic field generator increases the axial magnetic flux density in the neighborhood of the output cavity without curving the electron beams and thus prevents the spread of the electron beams in the neighborhood of the output cavity.

  • Patent number: 4558258
Abstract: A klystron unit not subject to variation and spurious components in the output signal. An electron gun generates an electron beam toward a collector. An input resonator is located in the vicinity of the electron gun. An output resonator is located in the vicinity of the collector. At least one intermediate resonator is disposed between the input and output resonators. Drift tubes are disposed along the electron beam path and couple the resonators together allowing for a drift gap in each resonance cavity. Means are provided for generating magnetic flux along the electron beam path. Means are also provided to distribute the magnetic flux density so that it is at a maximum point within a predetermined area and gradually decreases toward the collector.
