Abstract: A jig switching apparatus includes a locator jig slidably arranged on a transport carriage and having at a front end a locate pin with clamp function. The locator jig has two switching positions selectively switched in accordance with the type of a vehicle body to be positioned. A lock mechanism with an operating screw is disposed on the transport carriage. Through the operating screw operated by a nut runner, the lock mechanism mechanically positions and locks the locator jig in one of the switching positions with respect to a reference member disposed on the transport carriage.
Abstract: A vehicle body transfer machine transfers a vehicle body along a transfer path by using a transfer truck with which the vehicle body is supported, wherein the transfer truck is returned to an initial starting position of the transfer path for a repeated use when transfer of the vehicle body is terminated. The vehicle body transfer machine comprises a jig change-over stage located before the initial starting position of the transfer path, a plurality of locator jigs including an upwardly directed locating pin, a plurality of lock units, an unlock-operating unit, and a jig change-over unit including a socket portion engageable with the locating pin of the corresponding one of the plurality of locator jigs.
Abstract: A machine and a method for assembling a vehicle body is disclosed as including a locating pin (26) formed with a seating flange portion (35) having a work seating surface (35a) and a clamp arm (39) contained in the locating pin to be operable in a clamping or unclamping movement responsive to an extrusion and retraction of a clamp cylinder (34). A detection pin (47) is mounted for an extruding and extracting movement from the work seating surface (35a), with the detection pin (47), a shaft (44) ad a proximity switch (48) forming a work seating detection mechanism (49). A mutual engagement between the locating pin (26) and a locating bore (R) allows a panel W3 to be positioned, simultaneously detecting the presence of seating of the panel W3 responsive to a movement of the detection pin (47).
Abstract: An assembling apparatus assembling a body side of an automotive vehicle includes: a moving body provided in a transfer line; a clamp device mounted to the moving body fixing and positioning a body side outer in an upright position in which the body side outer is fixed in such a manner that a roof rail end of the body side outer is positioned substantially above the side sill end of the body side outer; and a welding robot disposed in a side of the transfer line. The welding robot assembles the body side by welding the body side outer positioned by the clamp device.
Abstract: Workpieces (W) made up of vehicular body sides are transported along a production line (25) in an upright attitude, with the roof rail upward and the side sill downward. A plurality of hemming dies (27) for hemming the wheel arch part of the body sides (workpieces (W)) are disposed to the side of the production line (25), a hemming die (27) being held and caused to approach the workpiece (W) by a die transporting robot (29) so as to hem the workpiece, the die transporting robot (29) selecting a hemming die (27) of the plurality of hemming dies (27) that is appropriate for hemming a workpiece that arrives by transporting on the production line (25).
Abstract: An assembling apparatus assembling a body side of an automotive vehicle, comprises: a moving body provided in a transfer line; a clamp member provided on the moving body for fixing and positioning a body side outer in an upright position in such a manner that a roof rail end of the body side outer is an upper portion and the side sill end of the body side outer is a lower portion; and a welding robot disposed in a side of the transfer line, the welding robot assembling the body side by welding the body side outer positioned by the clamp member.
Abstract: A transfer apparatus for transferring a body side of an automotive vehicle is disclosed. A moving body is provided on a transfer line. A clamp member is provided on the moving body to fix and position a lower end of a side sill of the body side in an upright position. As a result, the roof rail end of the body side is an upper portion and the side sill end of the body side outer is a lower portion.
Abstract: A yarn heating apparatus, interposed between a false twist apparatus imparting twist to a synthetic fiber yarn and a yarn feed apparatus feeding the synthetic fiber yarn to the false twist apparatus, is designed to heat the synthetic fiber yarn traveling on a yarn travel path extending from the yarn feed apparatus to the false twist apparatus. The yarn travel path includes a twist existence path section through which the twist imparted to the synthetic fiber yarn extends continuously. The yarn heating apparatus comprises a yarn heat member unit formed with a yarn heat channel defining in part the twist existence path section of the yarn travel path for heating the synthetic fiber yarn passing through the yarn heat channel, and a plurality of yarn guide members located in the yarn heat channel of the yarn heat member unit in spaced relationship to one another for guiding the synthetic fiber yarn through the yarn heat channel of the yarn heat member unit.
Abstract: A rotary piston engine having a casing and a substantially triangular rotor disposed in the trochoidal cavity of the casing. The casing is provided with an intake port located to communicate with the intake working chamber and an exhaust port located to communicate with the exhaust working chamber. The exhaust port has an air nozzle discharging air or air-fuel mixture into the leading part of the exhaust working chamber at the leading end of the exhaust port.
