Patent number: 6805442Abstract: The present invention intends to provide an apparatus for analyzing a sectional image of an anterior eye segment and a program for the same which reduce a burden on an examiner, and to provide a more reliable, reproducible result. The apparatus for analyzing a sectional image of an anterior eye segment which is light-sectioned by slit light and photographed comprises a defining device for defining a target opacity part in the sectional image based on a density distribution being between a cornea and a fundus and being in a first direction perpendicular to an optical axis of an eye to be examined, a determining device for determining an area to be analyzed based on the defined opacity part, and an analyzing device for analyzing an opacity condition base on the density distribution in the determined area.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2002Date of Patent: October 19, 2004Assignee: Nidek Co., Ltd.Inventors: Miwako Torii, Setsuo Saito

Patent number: 6636696Abstract: A fundus camera for photographing a fundus of an eye to be examined, in which a fixation target may be moved easily to guide a desired section of the fundus to a position intended for photographing. The fundus camera is provided with: observation means having a photographing element for picking up an image of the fundus illuminated in illumination light for observation and a monitor on which the picked-up image of the fundus is displayed; fixation target presenting means for movably presenting a fixation target in an arbitrary position, the fixation target being visually identified by the eye; designating means for designating a section of the fundus desired to be placed in the position intended for photographing on the fundus image displayed on the monitor; and control means for controlling the fixation target presenting means so as to shift a presenting position of the fixation target based on a signal indicating a designated position on the monitor.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2002Date of Patent: October 21, 2003Assignee: Nidek Co., Ltd.Inventor: Setsuo Saito

Patent number: 4527380Abstract: Disclosed herein is a lawn mower including a motor housing for vertically enclosing a motor; and a cutter casing disposed below the motor housing for housing a cutter fitted to the lower extremity of the shaft of the motor. The cutter casing is connected to the motor housing in such a manner that they communicate with each other. The cutter casing has at the upper portion thereof air-passing ports vertically extending therethrough. There is provided on the cutter casing a shroud for enclosing the motor housing, and the shroud has at a portion thereof apertures opening to communicate with the atmosphere; and air inlets opening to communicate through an air filter with the interior of the motor housing. In the cutter casing and above the cutter, there are provided an air impeller for creating a flow of air to support the mower on a cushion of air; and an axial impeller for cooling the motor. Both impellers are fitted to the motor shaft such that the axial impeller overlies the air impeller.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 1983Date of Patent: July 9, 1985Assignee: Makita Electric Works, Ltd.Inventors: Fusao Fushiya, Nobuhiro Inoue, Setsuo Saito
