Abstract: A method and apparatus for copying a double-sided document are provided to obtain a double-sided or one-sided copy by using a copying apparatus having a duplex automatic document feeder (DADF), in which an original document is scanned, an odd page image and an even page image of the scanned original document are displayed, an input selecting orientation of the even page image is received, and the odd page and the even page are printed according to the selected orientation. Therefore, when the double-sided or one-sided copy is made from the double-sided original document, the finished copy can be obtained without a reversed even page, thereby eliminating an inconvenience of arranging the page orientation of the finished copy. Further, consumption of paper or a cartridge can be reduced since the finished copy can be obtained without a reversed even page.

Abstract: A printing file processing method of an image forming apparatus which prints images on media includes receiving printing files, displaying an alignment menu comprising a plurality of alignment standards to align the received printing files, selecting an alignment standard in the displayed alignment menu, aligning the received printing files on the basis of the selected alignment standard, and displaying at the image forming apparatus the received printing files in the aligned order. Accordingly, a user can search and select a desired printing file conveniently using a printing file processing method of an image forming apparatus.

Abstract: An electrophotographic image forming apparatus employs a gradational power saving mode for reducing power consumption step by step with the passage of a print-waiting time. The apparatus raises a fixing temperature up to a print-waiting temperature when the image forming apparatus is turned on. When the fixing temperature reaches the print-waiting temperature, the print-waiting time is counted and compared with reference values which are preset into multiple gradations. Then, the fixing temperature is reduced to a temperature corresponding to the reference values step by step, if the counting value is equal to or greater than the reference values.
