    Abstract: The present invention relates to a fan assembly for a vacuum cleaner for reducing BPF noises. The fan assembly includes a motor, an impeller having a plurality of impeller blades, the impeller being rotated by the motor to suck air, and a diffuser disposed to wrap around an outer circumference of the impeller, the diffuser having a plurality of diffuser blades arranged in a predetermined interval. A ratio of an exit area of the diffuser to an entrance area of the diffuser is determined to reduce noise generated when the impeller rotates.
