  • Publication number: 20090106106
Abstract: Provided is a method of transmitting and receiving a two-way advertisement. The method is performed separately from a broadcasting being received by a client. When the client calls for the two-way advertisement, an Internet Protocol (IP)-based two-way advertisement receiving apparatus of the client requests and receives the two-way advertisement from an IP-based two-way advertisement server; stores the two-way advertisement in an advertisement storage unit, wherein the two-way advertisement is transmitted from the IP-based two-way advertisement server which refers to an advertisement area code included in the two-way advertisement and transmits the two-way advertisement by using a multicast group address corresponding to the advertisement area code; and displays the two-way advertisement on a screen of a client using terminal of the client.

  • Patent number: 6405566
Abstract: A method and device for providing an optical fiber secondary preform by collapsing an over-cladding tube on an optical fiber primary preform is disclosed in the present invention. The device for over cladding the optical fiber primary preform includes a hand bar as a first supporter for supporting the optical fiber primary preform, which hand bar has a sealing-up part of the over-cladding tube on an outer diameter part thereof and also includes a supporting handle tube as a second supporter for supporting the over-cladding tube, which the purity of the supporting handle tube is different from that of the over-cladding tube. Also the supporting handle tube includes a ring to make it equal two centers of the optical fiber primary preform and the over-cladding tube.

  • Patent number: 6053013
Abstract: There are provided an optical fiber rod overcladding apparatus and method, and an optical fiber drawing method. In the preform rod overcladding method, a preform rod is clamped in a top chuck and leveled, and a glass tube is mounted in a bottom chuck and leveled. The preform rod is coaxially inserted into a glass tube. Then, the glass tube is preheated by the furnace and heated by the burner until the glass tube reaches a softening point. The preform rod is completely sealed in the glass tube by sucking air in a clearance between the preform rod and the glass tube by application of a negative vacuum pressure. Thus, a preform is completed.

  • Patent number: 5761366
Abstract: A method of fabricating a dispersion shifted optical fiber with a smooth annular ring refractive index profile has the steps of heating a quartz tube with an external oxygen or hydrogen burner and supplying the quartz tube with raw materials including SiCl.sub.4, GeCl.sub.4, POCl.sub.3 and CF.sub.4. O.sub.2 is later supplied. Then, the quartz tube is heated in nine passes of decreasing temperature from 1920.degree. C. to 1890.degree. C., so as to deposit a core section. In the nine passes, the quantity of SiCl.sub.4 feed flow decreases from 380 milligrams per minute to 260 milligrams per minute, the quantity of GeCl.sub.4 feed flow increases from 20 milligrams per minute to 195 milligrams per minute, and the quantity of O.sub.2 feed flow is kept constant at 1500 cubic centimeters per minute.
