  • Patent number: 10910966
Abstract: A motor control system is provided. The system includes an inverter that adjusts a stator current applied to a stator coil of a wound-rotor drive motor and a rotor current applied to a rotor coil of the drive motor. When an abnormal starting of the drive motor is detected and a movement of the vehicle is restricted by electronic parking brakes (EPB), a motor controller adjusts the rotor current through the inverter to cancel an abnormal starting torque caused by the abnormal starting.

Date of Patent: February 2, 2021
Assignees: Hyundai Motor Company, Kia Motors Corporation
Inventors: Sangjin Park, Seung Hyun Youn, Yeonho Kim, Hyoungjun Cho
  • Patent number: 10670145
Abstract: A powertrain for an electric vehicle includes: a motor that generates torque, a motor controller that controls the motor; a two-stage speed reducer connected to the motor and having a synchronizer movable to a neural position when the electric vehicle is parked; a pair of drive wheels connected to the two-stage speed reducer through a differential gear; a pair of electric parking brakes (EPBs) that locks or unlocks the pair of drive wheels, respectively, and a vehicle controller that controls the pair of EPBs. The synchronizer moves to the neutral position to prevent the torque of the motor from being delivered to the drive wheels.

  • Publication number: 20090107158
Abstract: An automotive cooling system, which comprises a housing, a radiator unit, and a circulating fan, is disclosed. The housing has a water tank for supplying water. The radiator unit has external air radiating fins emitting heat of vaporization of the water through a flow of air introduced from outside the vehicle, and internal air radiating fins exchanging heat with air circulating through an interior of the vehicle, and is installed on the housing. The circulating fan is installed in the housing in order to circulate the air in the interior of the vehicle.
