The backlight assembly emits light to the display panel assembly. The main panel unit includes a color filter and displays an image in chromatic and achromatic colors, and the sub panel unit displays an image only in an achromatic color.

Abstract: An apparatus for removing a polarizer of a liquid crystal display includes a roller portion including a rotating exfoliating roller and a gripping portion disposed on the exfoliating roller and gripping an edge of the polarizer, and a roller moving portion exfoliating the polarizer from a liquid crystal panel, the roller moving portion rotating and moving the roller portion. A rotating direction of the exfoliating roller is the same as a moving direction of the exfoliating roller.

Abstract: Disclosed are a polarizer, a method for fabricating the same, and a liquid crystal display having the same. The liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel and a polarizer attached to the liquid crystal panel. The polarizer includes a polarizing film, a first support film, and a second support film. The first support film has optical anisotropy and is attached to the polarizing film. The first support film has a first thickness. The second support film is attached to the polarizing film while facing the first support film and has a second thickness, which is greater than the first thickness. The polarizer is fabricated by evaporating a solvent from a solution including polymer resin to form an optical film and then elongating the optical film.

Abstract: In a liquid crystal display having a polarizing plate, the polarizing plate includes a polarizing film to polarize a light, a supporting film, and a surface film. The supporting film is arranged on the polarizing film and includes a scattering material to scatter the polarized light. The surface film is arranged on the supporting film. Thus, the liquid crystal display uses the light having uniform intensity to display the image.

Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid crystal display panel having an ion trap structure and a liquid crystal display including the same. The liquid crystal display panel has an opening area and a non-opening area and includes a first substrate, a second substrate that faces the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and the second substrates. The first substrate includes a plurality of unit pixels and a first alignment film having a first area and a second area. The first area of the first alignment film is disposed on the opening area, the second area is disposed on the non-opening area, and the second area is thinner than the first area.

Abstract: A generator driving apparatus for a hybrid vehicle includes an engine pulley mounted at an engine crankshaft. A variable pulley is mounted at a rotational shaft of a motor-generator and is connected via a belt to the engine pulley. An actuator operates the variable pulley. Under such construction, the revolutions per minute of the motor-generator varies according to the deceleration condition of the vehicle, thereby greatly increasing the engine deceleration effect and electric storage efficiency of an accumulator.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a paclitaxel composition and the preparation methods thereof for the treatment of bladder cancer wherein said paclitaxel composition comprises 4˜90% by weight of at least one selected from the monoglycerides, 0.01˜90% by weight of at least one oil, 0.01˜90% by weight of at least one emulsifier and 0.01˜20% by weight of paclitaxel. The composition of the present invention can treat bladder cancer effectively since the composition solubilizes paclitaxel, does not form aggregates, adsorbs well on the bladder wall and penetrates into the muscle layer of the bladder.
