  • Publication number: 20030052596
Abstract: Disclosed is an organic EL display and fabricating method thereof enabling to reduce a process time by simplifying a fabricating process in a manner that a pattern of a single insulating layer is formed so as to have both functions of insulator and separator, increase an opening ratio, and reduce a product cost. The present invention includes a plurality of stripe type first electrodes on a transparent substrate, an insulating layer pattern stacked on the transparent substrate and the first electrodes so as to cross with the first electrodes, a half tone pattern of insulator stacked on the transparent substrate between the insulating layer pattern and between the first electrodes, a plurality of organic light-emitting layers on a plurality of the first electrodes, respectively, and a plurality of second electrodes on a plurality of the second electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20020187255
Abstract: Described is a method of fabricating an organic electroluminescent display (hereinafter abbreviated OELD) enabling to increase a throughput efficiency by carrying out a foregoing OELD process, dividing a large-scaled substrate, and carrying out a following OELD process in order. The present invention includes the steps of forming a first electrode layer on a large-scaled substrate, dividing the large-scaled substrate into a plurality of small substrates, forming an organic electroluminescent layer on the first electrode layer of at least one of the small substrates, and forming a second electrode layer on the organic electroluminescent layer.

  • Publication number: 20020063525
Abstract: Described is a plasma switched organic electroluminescent display, which includes an electroluminescent part including a cathode layer, an electroluminescent layer on the cathode layer, and an anode layer on the electroluminescent layer, a first power supply unit connected electrically to the anode layer and disconnected electrically to the cathode layer so as to supply the electroluminescent layer with a first power, a plasma generating part generating a plasma wherein the plasma becomes contacted with the cathode layer, and a second power supply unit generating the plasma by supplying the plasma generating part with a second power, wherein the cathode layer is connected electrically to the first power supply unit through the plasma, thereby enabling to emit light by organic electroluminescence as well as drive the display by a low driving voltage using a plasma discharge as a switch.
