  • Publication number: 20200344685
Abstract: A random access channel (RACH) procedure includes a mobile terminal receiving from a network a message that indicates a RACH preamble for the mobile terminal. The terminal transmits the RACH preamble to the network and then receives a RACH response from the network. The terminal monitors a downlink channel according to a discontinuous reception (DRX) active time for radio resource allocation information for a data transmission by the terminal. The DRX active time specifies a time until the radio resource allocation information for the data transmission is indicated.

  • Publication number: 20200336941
Abstract: A timer for processing data blocks is proposed for a receiver of a mobile communications system. If the timer is not running, the timer is started based a data block. The data block has a sequence number higher than a sequence number of another data block that was first expected to be received. If the timer is stopped or expires, the timer is based on a highest sequence number of a data block among data blocks that cannot be delivered to a higher entity. The timer can be used to prevent a stall condition in mobile communications.

Abstract: A system for controlling a pressure inside a bladder through an endoscope, where the distal end portion of the endoscope is located inside the bladder and the endoscope has an inlet port through which fluid to enter the bladder and an outlet port through which fluid in the bladder to exit the bladder. The system includes one or more processors that receive a first signal from a first pressure sensor installed in a first fluid passageway that is in fluid communication with the inlet port; receives a second signal from a second pressure sensor installed in a second fluid passageway that is in fluid communication with the outlet port; and based on at least one of the first and second signals, actuates a valve installed in the first fluid passageway of fluid so as to adjust the flow rate into the bladder through the inlet port.

  • Patent number: 10757650
Abstract: A random access procedure between a mobile terminal and a network is performed based upon the characteristics of a RACH preamble transmitted by the terminal. A first type of random access preamble is selectable by the terminal from a set of random access preambles, and a second type of random access preamble is directly allocated to the terminal by the network. The network responds with a random access response. The terminal performs a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation that allows it to monitor a downlink control channel discontinuously. The DRX operation includes an active time period during which the terminal monitors the control channel after successful reception of the random access response for the second type of random access preamble until a transmission from the network addressed to a Cell-Radio Network Temporary Identifier (C-RNTI) associated with the terminal is received.

  • Patent number: 10433206
Abstract: An apparatus and method for performing procedures (protocols) of a PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol) layer and an RLC (radio layer in an E-UMTS (Evolved Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) which has evolved from UMTS, among radio protocols of a mobile communication system. The PDCP layer performs ciphering on data (i.e., PDCP SDU) received from an upper layer, generates an indicator discriminating ciphered data and non-ciphered data (i.e., an ROHC feedback packet directly generated by the PDCP layer), and transmits the same to a lower layer (i.e., MAC layer). A PDCP SN (Sequence Number) is defined as an algorithm for ciphering the data in the PDCP layer to perform ciphering in the PDCP layer.
