  • Publication number: 20110151815
Abstract: Provided is a system and method of identifying Gaussian radio noise. The Gaussian radio noise identifying system may determine whether measured data of radio noise indicates a Gaussian distribution. The Gaussian radio noise identifying system may determine whether the measured data indicates the Gaussian distribution through a matching test consisting of two operations. The operations may include a matching test between an average estimate value of measured and a ½, and a matching test between a standard deviation estimate value and a result value obtained by dividing an H-range by a predetermined value. Accordingly, it is possible to enhance a determination accuracy.

  • Patent number: 7844011
Abstract: An apparatus and method for improving a symbol error rate of an M-ary phase shift keying (M-PSK) system having a quadrature error are provided. The apparatus includes: a conversion parameter detector that detects a conversion parameter and converts a symbol decision region using the quadrature error and at least one pair of first received symbols; and a converter & determiner converting a pair of second received symbols using the detected conversion parameter, and determining a transmission symbol according to a symbol of the converted pair of second received symbols. An increase in a symbol error rate due to the quadrature error can be prevented and the quadrature error can be easily estimated.

  • Publication number: 20090067812
Abstract: Provided are image processing methods and apparatuses for playing/recording a moving picture using caption search, which are capable of easily playing and recording the moving picture from a desired location by searching through captions of the moving picture. The method searches for a caption corresponding to a search key word among captions of the moving picture based on the search key word, displays a search-result list, and records at least one item included in the displayed search-result list according to a selected recording mode. Accordingly, a desired location of the moving picture can be played and/or recorded through caption search. Because the moving picture can be played from a predetermined location using caption search and a user's voice can be recorded and output, efficient foreign-language learning may be possible.
