The height of the array of members is adjusted to form a predetermined shape. The shaping apparatus is positioned over a mirror such that the members contact the mirror. The shaping apparatus is moved along a length of the mirror such that the members remain in contact with the mirror. A frame is attached to the mirror such that when the shaping apparatus is removed from the mirror, the mirror substantially retains the predetermined shape.

    Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide a steel cord, which has ultrafine steel filaments with a diameter of 0.04-0.14 mm stranded with each other so as to reinforce a tire carcass, and a radial tire for a passenger car using the same. The steel cord includes one core filament with a diameter of 0.04-0.14 mm and 4-7 sheath filaments, each having a diameter of 0.04-0.14 mm, spirally stranded around the core filament. At this time, the steel cord has a diameter of 0.2-0.5 mm and shear strength of 25-35 kgf. Additionally, each of the sheath filaments has a smaller diameter than the core filament, and the core filament and the sheath filaments are made of the steel filaments. The radial tire includes the tire carcass provided with the steel cord and a topping sheet, and the steel cord is embedded in the topping sheet such that a rubber gauge ratio is 200-500 % and a rubber clearance ratio is 60-250 %.

    Abstract: A method for providing release-dependant filenames for a device driver, by providing Config information and a table of the driver's component files; assigning unique, release-dependant filenames for the component files; and producing the device driver containing the release-dependant filenames. Scripts and a preprocessor are used to convert filenames and template filename references into actual names. Name conversion comprises converting by a preprocessor for compiled files and converting by scripts for other files. Unique names of files enable simultaneous operation of two versions of a device driver. Methods include encoding module name, version numbers, date, language, and OEM information into the filename; one alphanumeric-character version number and two-character language code; configuration file and automatic generation of Config information; printing device driver with major and minor version numbers; and date encoding for files that are updated more frequently than version updates.

    Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a motor in a washing machine, which includes a speed sensor for measuring speed of the motor, and a controller that compares the measured speed with a target speed to estimate a motor power applied to the motor, adjusts a running rate of the motor according to the comparison, and controls the motor according to the adjusted running rate. The motor power is estimated based on the motor speed, and the running rate is adjusted down if the estimated motor power is too high, thereby preventing overheating of the motor and an inverter, which may be caused in wash or rinse cycles. The apparatus can be implemented without using a temperature sensor, thereby reducing economic burden. Further, the motor does not stop due to an increase in the temperature of the motor, thereby preventing an unnecessary increase in the time required to complete washing.

Since the refrigerator is controlled to maintain the open state of the shaved ice discharge port during a predetermined shaved ice discharging time set corresponding to a selected amount of the shaved ice, it is not necessary to continuously apply external force to the lever, thereby improving convenience in use of the shaved-ice maker.

    Abstract: A washing machine and a control method thereof are provided, which control a rotational speed of a rotary tub (or revolutions per minute: RPM of a motor) according to a vibration level thereof to attenuate a vibration of the rotary tub. The washing machine includes the rotary tub, the motor, a vibration detecting unit and a control unit. The motor is linked to the rotary tub to be supplied with drive power and rotates the rotary tub. The vibration detecting unit detects the vibration level of the rotary tub using a variation of the drive power supplied to the motor when the motorrotates. The control unit controls a current rotational speed of the motor to be increased, maintained or decreased according to the vibration level of the rotary tub detected by the vibration detecting unit.
