Abstract: A heater unit is provided, the heater unit equipped with an induction heating coil and an electric heater selectively operated based on kind and state of a load of a cooking vessel placed on the heater unit. The kind is determined by an input current inputted when a load-type determination unit causes the induction heating coil to be operated and a resonance current flowing into the induction heating coil. The state is determined by a temperature change of the heater unit when a load-state determination unit allows the electric heater to generate heat, and the induction heating coil and the electric heater are selectively operated based on the determined kind and state of the load. Accordingly, a user needs not to scrupulously determine the kind of the cooking vessel and the electric cooker is not operated under a no-load state to prevent occurrence of safety accidents.

Abstract: A method of blocking network attacks using information included in a packet, and an apparatus thereof are provided. The method includes: receiving a packet containing information on the packet including at least information on a source from which the packet is sent, and information on a destination to which the packet is sent; and extracting the information on the packet included in the packet, comparing the information with a predetermined access control condition, and blocking or passing the packet. By doing so, a packet being transferred with a routing header capable of bypassing a security device as in an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) network can be appropriately blocked or passed. Accordingly, security problems caused by the routing header can be overcome, and as a result, usage of the routing header can be promoted.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus for adjusting applied voltage in a display system using a diffractive optical modulator. The apparatus for adjusting applied voltage can measure the intensity of diffracted light emitted from the diffractive optical modulator, and adjust voltage to be applied to the diffractive optical modulator based on measurement results.

Abstract: Provided is a method of generating and searching for a single ternary content addressable memory (TCAM) entry for range search and exact-match search. First, it is determined whether an entry to be added is a range search entry or an exact-match search entry. When the entry is the range search entry, a bit at a predetermined position in the upper m bits corresponding to a range represented by the entry is set to “1” and the remaining bits including lower n bits is set to a “don't care” bit x, based on a range table for representing position information of one of the upper m bits which is set to “1” in ranges. When the entry is the exact-match search entry, the upper m bits is set to “don't care” bit x and the lower n bits is set to the entry value. By generating and searching for a single TCAM entry for a range search and an exact-match search, a space for storing the TCAM entry can be optimized and efficiency thereof can be improved.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a mobile projector. The mobile projector includes an optical modulation system and a projection control unit. The optical modulation system includes an optical source system externally or internally mounted on or in a portable terminal for generating and radiating light, an illumination optical system for converting the light into linear incident light, a diffractive optical modulator for modulating the linear incident light into linear diffracted light in response to driving signals, a projection optical unit for projecting the linear diffracted light onto a screen, and a scanning unit for generating video by repeatedly performing first direction scanning and backward scanning on the linear diffracted light across the screen.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a forward and reverse scanning-type display device using a diffractive optical modulator. The display device includes a light source system, one or more illumination optical units, a diffractive optical modulator, a projection and scanning optical unit and a display electronic system. The light source system radiates light. The illumination optical units convert the light into linear incident light. The diffractive optical modulator modulates the linear incident light into linear diffracted light in response to driving signals. The projection and scanning optical unit creates an image by repeatedly and alternately scanning the linear diffracted light on a screen in a first direction and in a reverse direction.

Abstract: A mobile terminal includes an optical modulation projector. The mobile terminal also includes a control system, a projection control unit, and an optical modulation system. The control system outputs a projection control signal and image data. The projection control unit receives the image data from the control system, and generates and outputs a drive control signal depending on the image data received. The optical modulation system generates and modulates light and generates an image in response to the drive control signal and then scans the image for projecting onto a screen.

Abstract: A clothes drying machine, in which the installation position of a temperature sensor is optimized to minimize the interruption of the operation of a burner, thereby shortening the drying time of laundry. The clothes drying machine includes a suction duct for guiding air to be introduced to a rotary drum; a burner for heating air introduced into the suction duct; and a temperature sensor installed in the suction duct for controlling the operation of the burner, wherein the temperature sensor is installed at a position separated from an inlet of the suction duct by a designated distance, and the ratio of the distance to a diameter of the inlet of the suction duct is 0.9˜1.

Abstract: An induction-heating cooking apparatus, operation of which is interrupted by container eccentricity is disclosed. Upon receiving an input signal varying with the degree of eccentricity of a container, the apparatus changes a reference signal for determining the presence or absence of a small load in proportion to a pulse-width control signal controlling the width of an inverter driving pulse. Although the eccentricity of the container occurs in a normal heating operation and completely escapes from a cook zone, the apparatus determines the occurrence of a no-load state, and interrupts an operation of an inverter circuit, resulting in increased stability of a circuit and a product.

Abstract: An induction heating cooker capable of accurately discriminating whether the material of a cooking container placed in the induction heating cooker is magnetic or non-magnetic, using a phase change in a resonant capacitor voltage of an inverter circuit and a switching pulse signal of the inverter circuit, irrespective of the load of the cooking container, and a method for operating the induction heating cooker.
