  • Publication number: 20210396439
Abstract: The refrigerator of the present invention comprises: a storage chamber for storing food; a first ice-maker comprising a tray assembly which forms an ice-making cell in which space water undergoes a phase change into ice due to the cold; a second ice-maker arranged in an ice-making chamber which is partitioned from the storage chamber; a cooler for supplying the cold to the storage chamber and the ice-making chamber; an ice bin for storing ice generated by the second ice-maker; a water supply unit for supplying water to the ice-making cell; a heater for supplying heat to the ice-making cell; and a controller for controlling the heater. The controller turns on the heater in at least some period while the cooler is supplying the cold, so that bubbles dissolved in the water in the ice-making cell move toward the water in a liquid state from a portion where the ice is generated and transparent ice can be generated.

  • Publication number: 20210396441
Abstract: A refrigerator according to the present invention comprises: a storage chamber in which food is stored; a cold air supply means for supplying cold air to the storage chamber; a tray forming an ice-making cell as a space in which water undergoes a phase change to ice by means of the cold air; a heater for supplying heat to the tray; and a controller for controlling the heater. The controller starts ice-making after water supplied to the ice-making cell by a first amount of water supply is completed. The controller turns on the heater in at least a part of a range in which the cold air supply means supplies cold air such that air bubbles dissolved in water inside the ice-making cell can move from ice-generating parts to liquid-state water, thereby generating transparent ice. The controller determines whether or not the heater is functioning abnormally in the ice-making process.

  • Publication number: 20210389035
Abstract: A refrigerator of the present disclosure turns on a heater, which supplies heat to an ice making cell, in at least partial section while a cooler supplies cold to the ice making cell so that bubbles dissolved in the water within the ice making cell moves from a portion, at which the ice is made, toward the water that is in a liquid state to make transparent ice.
