  • Publication number: 20210394179
Abstract: The invention provides a system comprising a microfluidic device for providing a mechanical stimulation to a material, the microfluidic device comprising a hosting chamber, a pressure array, and an elastic membrane, wherein the hosting chamber is configured for hosting the material, wherein the membrane is arranged between the pressure array and the hosting chamber, wherein the pressure array comprises a plurality of pressure chambers configured to independently provide a pressure to the membrane, wherein the pressure array comprises two adjacent pressure chambers sharing a chamber separator, wherein the membrane is configurable at a plurality of distances from the chamber separator based on pressures provided to the membrane by the two adjacent pressure chambers.

  • Publication number: 20160257926
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a new approach to constructing cellular aggregates in vitro and their use in methods for producing 3D-tissue constructs in a modular way. In particular, the disclosure is directed to a method for in vitro producing a tissue construct comprising: a) combining living cells to form supracellular aggregates using spatial confinement; b) combining two or more of the supracellular aggregates in a mold or on a biomaterial; c) applying conditions that induce self-assembly within the combined supracellular aggregates to obtain the tissue construct; and d) applying conditions that induce tissue morphogenesis in the tissue construct.

  • Patent number: 8294119
Abstract: The invention concerns an electrospray source having a structure comprising at least one flat and thin tip (3) in cantilever in relation to the rest (1) of the structure, the tip (3) being provided with a capillary slot (5) formed through the complete thickness of the tip and which ends up at the end (6) of the tip (3) to form an ejection orifice of the electrospray source, the source comprising means of supplying (4) the capillary slot (5) with liquid to be nebulised and means of applying an electrospray voltage to the liquid. The invention further concerns a method of manufacturing said electrospray source.
