  • Publication number: 20090193751
Abstract: To regulate the size of proposed residential construction in a community: establish a BULK FACTOR including a ratio of the volume of one of new construction; an extant residence and an addition thereto; an extant residence and an accessory building or buildings; or an extant residence, an addition thereto, and an accessory building or buildings, to the area of a specific lot. Thereafter, limit the size of the one proposed construction to a bulk factor no greater that the established BULK FACTOR.

  • Patent number: 6734645
Abstract: In an electrically driven automobile, a dynamo-electric generating device(s) is attached to one or more free-running wheels of the vehicle, which are not connected to the power drive of the vehicle. The free-running wheels are rotated by contact with the road surface as the vehicle is powered forward. The free-running wheels rotate one or more electric generating devices to produce electrical energy which is stored alternately in one or more electrical storage systems. The other non-charging electrical storage system(s) concurrently provides power to the electric motor which drives the vehicle through one or more of the wheels connected to the power train.

  • Patent number: 4874176
Abstract: A three-dimensional puzzle including puzzle pieces having discrete surfaces, at least one surface of which has a three-dimensional sculpted form whereby the sculpted surfaces in the aggregate upon assembly of the puzzle form a continuous three-dimensional pictorial representation. Abutting sides of the puzzle pieces may be interlocking or three-dimensional for conformal abutting relation with the sides of opposed puzzle pieces. Filler pieces are also provided underlying the puzzle pieces for elevating the sculpted surfaces of the puzzle pieces. The puzzle pieces and filler pieces may be disposed on a base which may have an edge containment whereby non-interlocking puzzle and filler pieces may be used. The puzzle and filler pieces may be vertically interlocked against lateral movement and with respect to the base by projections received in corresponding recesses.

  • Patent number: 4809142
Abstract: An integrated lighting device includes a housing having a long-life light source electrically hardwired directly to a source of electrical energy. The housing is mechanically connected to the electrical box or the architectural surface surrounding the source of electrical energy. Electrical energy modifying elements, such as ballast, are hardwired between the electrical energy source and the light source. The entirety of the lighting device is therefore disposable at the end of the useful life of the light source.
