  • Patent number: 12268698
Abstract: A nanocomposite hydrogel sheet and doxycycline loaded acne healing patches derived therefrom. The present invention relates to the biocompatible hydrogel sheet matrix comprising polyvinyl alcohol, linseed mucilage extract, nano zinc-oxide crosslinked dually via covalent linkages and free radical polymerization by e-beam exposure. The pore size of the nanocomposite hydrogel sheet ranges between 0.1-0.5 ?m. The doxycycline loaded acne patches derived from nanocomposite hydrogel sheet were able to inhibit the growth of S. aureus in an in vitro bacterial growth inhibition assay.

  • Publication number: 20240408217
Abstract: The present invention relates to a polymer-drug conjugate comprised of the active (Montelukast) coupled directly to polymers (Polyethyleneimine and/or Chitosan), wherein the carrier substance is substantially resistant to permeation through the blood-brain barrier (BBB) under ambient conditions. The coupling between the active and the carrier substance is such that said coupling is not cleaved/substantially stable under said ambient conditions, so as to prevent/reduce the entry of the active into the brain. The present invention also relates to a composition including such a conjugate and the processes of preparing this conjugate and composition.

  • Publication number: 20230181371
Abstract: Chronic wounds are medical care concern and severe clinical challenge worldwide. A nanofiber based new wound dressing scaffold and a method of developing thereof for treating diabetic wounds is described here. More specifically, the present invention relates to the preparation of biocompatible Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofiber scaffold comprising of Quercetin, Zinc oxide and polyacrylonitrile by electrospinning. The nanofibers formed has the average diameter of approximately 160 nm and show excellent antibacterial and wound healing potentials.
