Publication number: 20240017539Abstract: A system including a non-contact plate sensor and a processor configured to characterize a configuration of a plate based upon information received from the sensor, such as position on a press or plate quality. The processor is configured to initiate a responsive action based upon the characterized configuration. A related method includes setting pressure of a printing plate relative to an ink-receiving substrate and register of a printing plate relative to another printing plate on a press, without generating printed waste. The non-contact plate sensor measures a distance of the printing surface of the plate relative to the sensor in locations along the plate longitudinal axis to characterize a starting configuration of the plate. The plate longitudinal axis is adjusted to correspond with a desired position of the plate for exerting a desired pressure on the substrate, based upon a difference between the measured starting position and the desired position.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 11, 2023Publication date: January 18, 2024Applicant: Advanced Vision Technology (A.V.T.) Patent number: 10402484Abstract: Methods and systems of aligning annotation of fields of documents are provided. Training information that includes first measurement information pertaining to features of each of a plurality of fields associated with training clusters for documents of a document type is accessed. A first training cluster is annotated with a first name and the second training cluster is annotated with a second name. An electronic classification model is generated based on the training information. Second measurement information for features of fields associated with new clusters of a new document is accessed. Each of the new clusters is automatically annotated based on the second measurement information using the classification model. For example, a first new cluster that has fields of the first field type is annotated with the first name and a second new cluster that has fields of the second field type is annotated with the second name.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2011Date of Patent: September 3, 2019Assignee: ENTIT SOFTWARE LLCInventors: Shahar Golan, Omer Barkol, Ruth Bergman, Ira Cohen, Gal Noy

Patent number: 9910898Abstract: Systems and methods for building a latent item vector and item bias for a new item in a collaborative filtering system are disclosed. The method includes dividing incoming users into intervals with each interval having a learning phase and a selection phase. The learning phase scores each incoming user according to a best estimate latent vector and bias and saves the highest score. In the selection each incoming user is scored and a user exceeding the highest score is selected. The best estimate latent vector and bias is then updated based on the user's vector and bias, and the user's interaction with the item. The updated best estimate latent vector is then used in further intervals for learning and selecting users.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2015Date of Patent: March 6, 2018Assignee: YAHOO HOLDINGS, INC.Inventors: Oren Shlomo Somekh, Michal Aharon, Shahar Golan, Noa Avigdor-Elgrabli, Dana Drachsler Cohen
